how do i use the ignore function on abandoned games

its annoying to ignore every one of them how do i just get rid of them all

Click your name, then preferences, then scroll down do the bottom (Ignored Prefixes).

i did that and does it only work if you dont do a advanced search for games

I'm pretty sure it only works under certain circumstances, yes. Another option is excluding that prefix when you look on the latest updates page.
