How do you feel about a turn based RPG sex game?

Hello everybody I hope you're having a wonderful day!

So I am trying to come up with ideas for a game, and I like the thought of making an RPG turn based game where you explore and fight monsters along with a social points system where you get rewarded with sexy scenes and love interests.

I guess, imagine fire emblem birthright but more sex scenes and more "dating" scenarios/social interactions

I know it's a messy ideas, but do you think it's worth making an RPG sex game? What do you think?

It is probably the most acessible way of adding combat to an ecchi game, since it doesn't require too many controls or fast reflexes.

I just don't understand why you believe it to be messy since there are already many games like that and I personally really like them.

Do what you believe will work best for the kind of game you are creating.

Sounds good up until that whole love interests part, but that's just my dislike of romance elements.

What you're describing here just sounds like ~90% of all RPGM games ever made.
My advice would be to either make the combat itself sexy in some way or minimize the overall importance of combat. Too many devs just slap cookie-cutter combat encounters in at any "dull" moment and it just becomes a boring, tedious barrier to content which is why I generally avoid them.

I could see this working in some way. Fire Emblem has "friendship" values which increase as the units fight besides each other and do things like heal and assist each other. Three Houses takes all your units at the end, pairs up the ones with the highest friendship ratings for each other, and gives you an epilogue for how they lived together post-war. Awakenig straight up had pairings where, after an in-game time skip, you would actually encounter their offspring.

There's plenty of room to add more erotic stories on top of the "friendship" meters. I would just be careful with how you mix sex and gameplay. I'm not a huge fan of when games mix the sex and the combat together. Karryn's Prison is probably the only game I can think of where the sex combat adds to the game rather than being an obstruction.

If you're absolutely set on having sex as part of combat then you need to account for a unit having their love interest raped in front of them. It'll need to negatively affect their ratings for each other in some way. You could take a note from Darkest Dungeon and apply "kinks" and other ailments to units whenever they get raped. That would at least add some sort of dynamic gameplay value to sucking at combat.

There's a difference between a sex RPG and RPG with sex scenes slapped on top. The latter type is... well, not bad, but it's a bit overdone. Okay, it's quite a bit overdone.

A sex RPG should incorporate sex into core game mechanics. I.e. there's a tactical RPG out there in which some teammates grope other teammates when standing close to each other, advancing their relationships. Or there is a subgenre of female protag battlefuck. That's the good stuff. Even though some games fail to make good battlefuck, but A for effort nonetheless.

I hate them, most times I won't even bother and either cheat or grab a gallery save from somewhere.
In my opinion, turn-based combat, especially RPGM one is incredibly boring and is just in the way.
I prefer RPGM games that focus on exploration, scene gathering etc.
But grinding levels and through that stale, boring ass turn based shit ? Nah not for me, no thx.

Yes to turn-based ero-games. No to romance/dating. Turn-based battlefuck can be good. Even tying sex to combat in some other way can be appealing (e.g. MC can pick up sexual effects that progress the corruption). Nonsexual vanilla combat can work too, but then there's a higher standard for it (e.g. Karryn's Prison has pretty bad combat but people love it because it's battlefuck) while also being less appealing for a fap-game, maybe even a detriment.

Just my personal opinion :

I like RPG games if the grinding is right, moreover if the game has a good story, especially games like J-RPG. Sex reward is nice, but it depends on the artwork. If they're hot then I'll love it, if it's not then it's better have a good story. Best would be if you have them both

I really must stress that no combat mechanic should be added unless done with care. Anything that breaks the narration (and the porn) should be exciting or at least entertaining. It is a delicate balance, it should not be too easy or too hard. Above all: no grinding! That being said, I generally like it.

Combat in sex game doesn't make any sense unless its carried out like in CoC, with the tease mechanic.... what I would love to see is a RPG game that is not heavy into managment like Strive for Power (I only heave enough blood to run one head at a time guyz) and where combat is some form of pleasuring yur enemy into orgasm. With more combat opions unlock with enemy arousal and your skills. Graphics don't matter but RPGM is so bad- i rather have pure txt game than RPGM

Corruption of Champions. It's an old flash game by . Basically the name brand in the "Dungeons and Dragons but everything wants to fuck you" genre.

You might like Nightgames if you haven't played already.
It's one of the best turn based battlefucks I've seen. There's also a that adds more customization and content if you're interested.

thanks for the recommendation! and Yeh, I was thinking more of battle-fucking, but like with boss fights only, no random little minions.
