How to filter specific threads during search

Is there anyway to filter out specific threads when using forum search? Ignore thread does not seem to blacklist it from flooding the results, its very tedious to go through so many pages of MTL posts because its flooded with all sorts of tags and keywords and shows up in nearly every result.

What are you trying to search exactly?

Games with kinks that the forum do not have tags for, bisexual, interspecies sex, battlefuck rpgs, athletic/muscular build, menhera heroines, etc.
That didn't answer Bob69's question regarding your first question. You just went off on a tangent.

What SEARCH TERMS are you using that you got the results you showed in your first post.

What SEARCH TERMS are you wanting to filter out?

You can exclude tags in searches, for instance. You can also have the results be one result per game thread, rather than every result within each game thread.

Also, make sure to either use the quote or reply option to reply to either Bob69 or I so that we know you answered the question. Without doing so or @ us, we may not get notified that you responded.

gay vaginal sex. I read another user suggestion of using tag combinations for searches.

Not terms, I want to filter out specific mtl and recommend threads that don't contain revelant info.

I get too much false positives with this, "[search term] is disgusting" in unrelated threads will turn up in the results as well, and the specific phrase doesn't appear on the result page because its buried in a large text wall.
I want to avoid using forum restriction as well as the untranslated or rejected request forum can yield relevant results.

Based upon how you responded to my questions, I can see that many of the problems you are experiencing are most likely caused by how you are using the search on this site. A tool is only as good as its user. While the search tool does have some limitations, having better knowledge of how to use the tool would benefit you after having an account on this site for over 6 years.

First - Never use this search:

It will never suit your needs.

Second - If you are using this search:
1747512924113.png
It will be ineffective if you are looking for games while not in the Games forum. When in the Games forum, it defaults to searching for threads only in that forum:

Results: https://f95zone.to/search/486066021...lude]=1&c[child_nodes]=1&c[nodes][0]=2&o=date

Though, this still isn't going to be as effective as going to the Advanced Search / Search page.

One way to get there:

A different way:
1747513271418.png

This is the search tab you want to go to:
1747513328640.png

Then, search for:
  • keywords you want (and if you want those keywords only found in the title OR in the title or first post of the thread -- use wisely)
  • tags you want for the games
  • tags to exclude so that you don't get games that have those tags
  • forum you want to search (in this case, "Games")
  • subforums under that forum (when applicable, and wanted)
  • threads to be listed only as one result per thread (so you don't have pages of multiple hits from the same thread, but instead focusing just seeing one link per game)
1747513769063.png

This is what you get for the above example: https://f95zone.to/search/486067977...des][0]=2&c[tags]=gay,+vaginal+sex&o=date&g=1

Nearly 480 different games, sorted by the date they were added to the site with the newest first.

And before you do this - I recommend you follow this from my signature: Set your F95 search results preference to "most recent."

Thanks for the response, but I am already doing what you are describing.
As I tried to explain, using too little keywords results in a lot of false positives, but using too many filters out threads that does have relevant content, example pic below, Ravager does have all the content listed but doesn't show up in the results here. Which is why I asked if there is a way to filter out specific threads, that way with the former method I can slowly shrink the pool of false positives while going through the results.

Sorry if my account age is offensive to you.

The age of your account doesn't offend me. You obv missed the point or are being facetious.

I attempted to create the same search you did (it would have been MUCH easier had you included a link of the search you created instead of making people who are trying to help you rebuild it. See my previous examples in my reply to you that had the links laid easily usable).

I ended up not seeing Ravager in the results as well, and I would expect them since there was one post in that thread that does have the word bisexual in it. It might have something to do with the reindexing that happened with the search engine for the site a month or so ago.

now when i try it, ignoring threads doesnt work in advanced search. at least not for text in the keywords field (it works with tags), although i tried that earlier too when it worked.
AgriasQuarto i did some investigation on this and it worked for me earlier because i searched for "anal sex" in the keywords field using relevant order, and then ignored threads with that tag was filtered out. doesnt help with what you're asking though

Remember that the whole search feature is an hybrid between a plug-in and custom code. It's possible that the thread hiding have been disabled due to this, or not enabled again after the last update of the plug-in.
