How easy a task do you think making a game is, or using Ren'py/RPGM or making 3d models is...?

I'm not grumpy, I'm just coded that way.

What i'm trying to ask is how to learn.
You go to google and type something like "Ren'py download" (replace "Ren'py" by "RPG maker" or "Daz3D" depending of your actual subject of curiosity), then you click on the link which seem the more official, and download the program.
Then you do the same with "Ren'py installation" and follow what's said. Then you finally type "Ren'py documentation", and read it while trying to apply what you read by using the program you just installed.
For Ren'py and RPG Maker, you'll also have to search for "Basic coding course", then "How to code in Python" (replace by "Javascript" for RPG Maker).

This said, I don't want to be harsh, but if you're stuck at just this step, perhaps that it's just not something for you. It's not a shame, we aren't all good at everything and it's normal. There's a lot of things that I really suck at, like singing, dancing, cooking, quantum science, driving, and so many other things... I'm sure that you're good at some of them, which make me envy you for this.

Hey bud,

I was in the exact same boat a few months ago, and I'm now beginning to make my own game too.
I had no prior coding experience and hadn't ever worked with 3D Models, so it was tough to get started (and I still have tons to learn)

I found this lady's channel really helpful on getting started right at the beginning for Renpy:

I found this guys channel really helpful for Daz3D (although he's irritating to listen to, but helpful: )

The Renpy Forums are also quite helpful:

Hope this helps :)

Well, It can be kinda frustrating at the start, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty simple.
Don't be so negative towards him. He was asking where to start. People should be more supportive towards people who wants to try to make games themselves.

I understand that my bluntness can be seen as me being negative towards him, but that's quite alright. I just saw that the nature of his query is broad, includes guides on learning 2 different types of coding and 3d modelling. Now I understand not a lot of people know about these these, and we all know we can learn just about anything given the plethora of guides and tutorials available online.
The way he asked made me believe he thinks that what he is inquiring about can be wrapped up in a couple of posts, hence the question.

Here is a series of simple videos that go over the basics of creating content using Ren'py:

As to 3D model creation and backdrop creation, you have many different options, all depending on your willingness to spend money, as well as your creative experience... You can also just partner up with 3D or 2D artists, or even Artists that Hand Draw Art, if you don't feel you have the desire or creative talent to get into that level of complexity... There are lots and lots and lots of videos you can Google on the various software and utilities used to make the artwork...

You also need to have a passion and perhaps even the talent for script writing, to put together a well thought out and told story... All depending on your plans... Will it be story/plot driven, a stat grind, an adventure game, a meaningless porn fest, a love/romance, what fetish's do you want to include if any (be careful, as your choices may become limited depending on your target audience as well as hosting rules/requirements if you plan to allow donations), and the list goes on... I highly recommend you at least write up an outline (examples on creating story outlines: , , ) of the story from beginning to the very end... Before you do anything else... That way you have a general story progression map, to help keep you on point and to help ensure story pacing/continuity... You can be as detailed as you want, or go with just the basic details and put in the filler as you develop... It will also help you decide on scenes needed for the artwork...

If you have little to no experience with story writing, and it's got story elements, I highly recommend taking some creative writing classes, or perhaps doing a mock up story and getting some other experienced author's 2 cents, on your writing style and ability... Winging it without any experience, may not always work out in the end, even if you think it's the best crap since sliced bread, reading your own work... You can always start small, making a small project to work out the kinks in your creative process and get a better sense of, do you got what it takes or not... If you are into the art more then the writing, you can also partner up with a good author to do that aspect of it all... There are just a ton of options you have available when deciding on creating these sorts of projects...

And go into this whole process with an open mind, because you will get both negative and positive feedback, no matter what... Take it all in and then take out of it what you feel will help you out... Never take anything as a personal attack, even if it sounds like it, and never let it get you down or get you angry... Putting your work out there for a general public to experience will get you all sorts of various types of feedback... If you feel the stress of it all, is just too much, then perhaps this isn't the kind of work you need to be doing... You need to have the drive, the talent, and the passion for creating this sort of stuff, to truly be successful in the long haul... Do not go into this, thinking its anything other than difficult and time consuming...

Best of luck...
