Hi,
I'm experienced with computers in general but I have next to no experience with programming. I currently have a Unity game that I'd like to make a dialogue-only mod for, but I have no idea how to go about it.
From the little bit of info I've picked up by messing with Ren'py games, I'm aware that I'll probably have to find and decompile whatever file has the text in it, edit it, and then recompile it and put it back in. However I have no idea how to decompile a Unity .dll file, how to recompile it, or even how to tell which one stores the dialogue. Would anyone be able to give me a noob friendly guide on how to do this? Or, if I'm wrong about the method, a guide on how to do this the correct way?
P.S. Apologies in advance if this is posted in the wrong forum. I'm not totally familiar with how F95 categorizes posts yet.
