I would like to develop games like Young Marcus, Young Maria, The Fairy Prince for example. What programs are the best to use? And what programming languages are needed to work in these programs? I apologize in advance if I wrote something wrong, English is not my first language. I hope for help and understanding!

format. The twine software is made so that users with no programming background can create stories with ease but you should learn HTML and CSS (JavaScript too if you are feeling adventurous) for a smoother experience.
Also the concept of if and loop. Very easy to understand, shouldn't take more than an hour and you will get better with practice.

Your slashes are going the wrong way. Try [img['images/start/purgatory.jpg']]. If that doesn't work, then try <img src="images/start/purgatory.jpg">. Make sure to check that your directory is correct, as well.
