Well then, try to publish your story yourself, and then when its in a shareable format, share it (or sell it) and see if people are motivated to make it into a game. the best pitch is let the story do the work for you.

Just the "I have an idea..." is not cutting it, most of us get tens of messages like that each month.
Give a short synopsis, something that would make it clear from the start if it's something we, game developers, might be interested in.
