I don't understand the direction of Goodbye Eternity.

I have been following this game for quite some time and I absolutely love the concept. However, after replaying version 0.11, I found myself confused by the developer's choices, especially the initial plan to include a Bad Ending early on. That was only stopped due to an outcry from supporters who insisted it should be saved for the very end of the game. This whole situation worries me, as the updates are extremely slow and often lead nowhere.

I feel that moving the Bad Ending was a mistake. They should have kept it in to truly test the players and the narrative, instead of having it suppressed right from the start. It could have defined the game's direction, but they completely missed that opportunity.

Regarding the plot, I wouldn't mind the slow updates if the game had a clear arc or chapter structure, but it doesn't. (Minor spoiler alert here) The kidnapping plot is still incomplete despite a considerable amount of time having passed. I understand that a point-and-click game is just that, but it is disappointing to see a promising story become monotonous, especially when you have to endlessly click all over the place just to play a new route.

As for the characters, precisely because the plot and direction lack a clear goal or at least, have not yet reached the goals set by the developer, all the female protagonists have been developed equally well. But that's all there is to it. Everyone is equally "good," which ironically makes everyone feel bland. No one is given proper focus, and instead of having choices with consequences, all I currently see is the main character aimlessly running around and solve nothing.

I don't think there's anyone better placed to answer that question.

If you're confused, if you don't understand certain plot choices or other aspects, it's because you're playing a story that's incomplete at the moment.

You don't have the full picture, so at least let the writing process run its course and then give your opinion at the end to judge the work as a whole.

I apologize if this post comes across as critical. I had no intention of criticizing the game or the developers, the initial purpose of this post was for discussion.

The subsequent problem is perhaps due to English not being my primary language, presenting my question in my main language, then complaining about too many issues, and translating it to English likely made my post difficult to understand.

And I want to rewrite my question.

- The issue I want to ask and discuss is that the game genuinely lacks the one thing the Plot constantly refers to, which is the 'Consequences' in the main character's every choice. As of now, besides the choices made to set the route, other choices are merely dialogue options.

- And I feel the developer was on the right track with the idea of introducing Bad Ending first, until it was criticized by the fans, and the developer decided to place it at the end of the story. And that is precisely what I am questioning. The developer essentially gave themselves the opportunity to do exactly what the plot always mentions.

That's also why when I replayed the game and see what I had questioned before.

I understand the story is not yet finished and needs time. But each update is not guaranteed to deliver a complete story arc makes me feel that the game is just going around and not heading in the right direction.

Once again, I respect your opinion, and I truly love this game. If this question is somewhat similar to the one above and you feel your previous answer to me is reasonable, you do not need to reply. Thank you.
