VN - Ren'Py - I Was a Teenage Vampire Rebuild [v0.7.6] [FatalMasterpiece]

How this is getting such high reviews is genuinely beyond me. the characters aren't very interesting with 2/3 of them just being total cliche's, but my major issue is the fact this game is UGLY. It's SO ugly for no reason. I don't know if they're using a combination of A.I and filters or something, but omg the entire game is just in this ugly haze with facetuned faces and a lot of the sex scenes feel like those images that get turned into moving pictures with A.I. It's just so bad.

Although it is school setting, the story in last century gives more satisfication and entertainment than i expect. Very cool game, and i like the art style especially. Hope the author can produce more contents, so that there was more to dive into!

+ An intriguing and exciting story that I remained invested in throughout the gameplay; it successfully piqued my curiosity and got me hooked.
+ A realistic MC, instead of a godlike alpha or a weak, foolish one.
+ Romantic scenes that influenced my affection for the LIs.
+ Excellent camera angles during the sex scenes.
+ Tense, non-simplistic relationships (e.g., impregnating someone with her husband's permission, getting revenge on a 'bull' with his girlfriend's help, a relationship with a childhood friend, and perhaps sexually submitting the wealthiest woman in town?, etc.).
+ Fitting and impactful music and sound design.
+ A wide variety of well-crafted facial expressions that greatly enhance the experience.
+ Excellent art, though this is subjective (only a few of the renders had bugs).
+ No forced routes (if you don't like a character or a storyline, you don't have to pursue it).

- In some renders, the MC's appearance is off; he looks robotic rather than human.

Suggestions:
1. Please make the sex scenes longer. At times, they lack impact because they end too quickly and the characters themselves seem to attach no importance to the event. This is an issue in some, but not all, of the sex scenes.

surprisingly engaging and original. great ost selection, great pacing, great hook and mystery. very interesting color palette and cinematography style that makes comonly used assets appear original due to presentation. keeping a close eye on this one, he's earned a patreon pledge from me

5*, this has a lot of promise to end as a AAA VN. Pacing is a bit fast, but everything is high quality otherwise. Plenty of content for how long its been in the works. Currently I would put it as one of the best AVNs in production

My first review.

TL/DR: Awesome game. Would recommend.

Story: I was expecting more vampire stuff. But Vampires drive the core of the murder mystery vibe of the story. The main character isn't a vampire... at least, as of when I'm leaving this review. He does wear shades all the time though so... jury is out I guess. But what is there is told really well. Think stranger things - stuff is going down in our small town and we need to figure this out! It's compelling and interesting.

Characters: All characters are attractive and have unique personalities with different goals and hang ups. I found them all great in their own way. With that said, if you like them thiiiiiiic, this prob isn't your game. But try it anyway.

Sex/Animations: Quite a lot of animations - all pretty good quality. The designer clearly makes a lot of effort here. It would be nice if the animations were slightly higher FPS - there's a bit of a jump between each phase of the animation which isn't super smooth, but honestly, the character design and the writing of the animations fills that gap. Overall, pretty good.

Writing: Great. Characters are rounded. There are not obvious tropes. Characters have motivations. It doesn't come across as a rough translation. Possibly using a bit of AI - you see quite a bit of "it's not X, it's Y" type of sentences but no em dashes. So that's good. But hey - it's consistent. I don't hate AI if it's done well - and this is (but it could also be that the author is just a good writer, don't get me wrong).

Story Delivery: Pesudo Sandbox - you get some "free roam" sections which are really just a list of things to do. According to the walkthrough mod there is an optimal order, but I did my first playthrough blind and got the same outcomes without the "choose this first" recommendations. Seems to me at this early stage you can see everything and there's no "this person hated that" style of choices. Not sure if this is aiming to be a "path" style of game but at the mo you can bang anyone.

Overall as of Sept 2025 there's a couple of hours of content here - all high quality. If you want to kill some time, check it out. I will keep an eye on this one for sure.

The plot, the atmosphere, the girls. Everything is wonderful!

The only cons I can come up with is the game being a bit short.
I hope it won't be adandoned and we'll be able to see the continuation of this gripping story.

P.S. For people wondering how vampirish this game is. The female vampire is killing people and the MC sees it in his dreams. (Not a spoiler)

Wow, this AVN could have been the best first play I had in 2025. Simply an high school/college AVN with a vampire mystery tacked on but characters feel fresh and are well written even if they are pretty stereotypical. The filter is a nice touch, the soundtracks are spot on. Is a bit weak on the lewd side but not deserves a lower rating in spite. Deserves a follow! A must play!

Love the art style and the 80's feel of the game. Story is so far interesting, and I have already found a couple of favourite girls. The score is also amazing.
I wish there were more games of this quality around.
So far there has been a lack of vampires though.

Just got to the end of 0.7.2 and really enjoyed it. The writing is very good and avoids some of the overly verbose narrative and dialogue trends that seem to infect most VNs and keeps things tight, well paced, and believable. The characters, while fulfilling usual archetypes, are interesting and enjoyable. There's no weird extended drawing out of sexual encounters as progression. It just happens like it often does in real life. The visual style and animations are great and novel for the genre. Just a great VN overall, I don't think I skipped any dialogue like I typically do for adult oriented VNs. Really looking forward to future updates.

despite being with the main girl i started doing favors for goth bitch
mostly because she asked for easy stuffs and i just wanted to create dependency for the future
we fast forward to day 3 and she pose almost naked for me and i fuck her
when i warn her about being close to cum, she leglocks me and brace for impact
i decided to commit to her bcs you can't just leave woman with your baby

The visual is one of the best i've seen so far. Game feels polished through well placed sfx and background music. All the love interests are interesting and good looking with toned and natural curves. So what they all look like super models, that's the point of playing a porn game.

Nails the retro 80s atmosphere! Fun writing, gorgeous LIs with diverse personalities, and an intriguing story that has loads of potential. But the best thing about it is definitely the visuals with its unique style and incredible artwork. Can't wait to see where it goes next

I thoroughly enjoyed this game! The storyline had me hooked from start to finish, especially because the characters were so compelling. All the girls stood out in their own way—they were not only beautifully designed but also full of personality.

The visuals in the game are impressive. The character art designs are unique. Although the animations are limited, it doesn't make the overall experience any worse.

It's a game worth playing. The graphics are distinctive and visually appealing. The story is interesting, although there are many unanswered questions as of version 0.7.6. Which is normal, since it’s still early in the story. Most of the characters are realistic and unique.

My only complaint so far is the explicit content. There isn’t much foreplay (a couple of scenes had some), and the sex is just different camera angles you have to choose manually, in any order, and then select finish. There’s zero dirty talk. And without it, it’s hard to convey passion with just a looping animation. It would be A LOT better if, instead of changing the camera ourselves, you would have a couple of dialogues, then a camera change, more dialogues, another camera change, etc.

“Fuck, I just want to do that forever.”
“Oh god, me too, I might get addicted to this.”

Just a generic example where the camera changes on its own, rather than us having to choose. That’s just my opinion, but having to select an angle breaks the flow of the scenes. Not only is it unnatural, but it’s also unnecessary. I’ve never thought to myself, “Oh, I wish I could go back to that camera angle, it was hot.” At worst, I simply scroll back.

That being said, you can see the dev put a lot of effort into this game, and it is well worth five stars.

This game has a very nice artwork with a very proper style for the date. Good pace for history, with nice characters and good elements in the history, even cliches are well done. Tropes are a must and well executed. Nice ideas. Really I want to see more!

Super well made. Not normally one for this art style but it is extremely well done. Story doesn't have a ton of progress yet and the twist so far was not hard to figure out but its solid groundwork so far. The LI's are a tad cliche but they're all great.

i was impressed from the get go the intro music just wow the art is top notch the story isn't boring i love the mc as a character and i love every interaction with the cast so far definitely keeping up with this one i want another update RIGHT NOW so good

This might be the one of the best adult game i have ever play before.First,i thought this game must be scam cuz i have never seen this gorgeous type art and animation with renpy. Well there are other renpy game with amazing art styles and animations but this game is one of them.The art,animations,story pacing even characters are drop dead gorgeous.The is one the best game i had played.

Well it quite sad to see underrated.Well what hit hard is VN thing.I mean this game is technically VN but this is totally different from normal VNs.For me personally never enjoy VNs type game.And i know alot of player do not want anything to do with VN type thing.I think that is what stopping this game from reaching peak popularity.Who know maybe i am wrong too.HAHA
