the speed upgrade i mean here is the speed at which adventurers enter the dungeon, not your attack speed.
oh. Blast. That's an incredibly annoying glitch. So I just shouldn't upgrade that, I guess. Good to know

The glitch has been solved in the newest version. In the meantime, you can upgrade it 29 times without issues (stop when the cost reaches 412).

Changelog for the update:
- OLD SAVES SHOULD NOT WORK ON THIS VERSION (You can try, but it'll probably crash)
- Added a new girl, Tory.

- Reworked the game's systems so that enemies no longer scale in strength on their own
- Reworked the "Full Employee Benefits" skill to allow the player to increase the strength of enemies (stronger enemies give more experience)

- Bosses (the girls) will join and fight on your side after you defeat them 3 times
- Reworked the "Speedrunner" skill. Now, instead of halving the amount of enemies required, it halves the bosses' stats.
- Added Post-Processing to make the game look better (this time it should have next to no performance impact)
- Improved the way the game handles textures and reduced RAM consumption (it wasn't really a problem before, but improvements are nice)
- Made the main menu look nicer
- Fixed bug where reducing too much the spawn timer of enemies made them not spawn at all
- Fixed other bugs that I don't remember
- Added a "Coming Soon" banner for the game's Steam page

Game was unbearably slow to progress normally, so I eventually fired up Cheat Engine to see what content was there.
When at the lowest resolution, the text is unreadable, and the prestige screen does not have the options menu so I couldn't change resolution until after it was no longer useful.
When one-shotting enemies, there's a shake effect that should be possible to disable. Especially with speed upgrades, the game ends up just constantly shaking.
The first boss joins after being defeated, but the second does not. I assume this is because the game progression ends there, but I'd prefer for the boss to join before the progression ends.
