Guess I'm still making cards for HC since the new game might be region locked and only in Japanese according to discord.
It's out and and playable, there's even a partial translation already. It's only for the dialogue options though, character creator is not translated but it's basically copypasted from HoneyCome, at least for the aesthetics parts. There's a ton of "personality" traits that will require translation but if you're only here to create cute girls, it's very easy. There's more customization and clothing options right off the bat too, and you can import your HC cards directly.

Anyway, it's been a while since I made a card and I couldn't resist the current trend/meme of BR Miku, so here she is.

Sadly could not find a crop top. Just for reference I also imported the card on the new game and modified it a bit from there, so this one only works in SVS:

Hey Nowaru, does SVS have eyepatches? HoneyCome lack of eyepatches in the base game is a huge disappointment for me.
Doesn't seem so, there's not many face accessories at the moment and they're mostly copied from HC, so there's only the "medical eyepatch" model.

You can try to tweak the angle and position to make it look like a regular eyepatch though, I did that with an old HC card for a character that needed the eyepatch:

Not perfect but heh, gotta work with what you have. They announced plenty of future content for SVS however (like a whole bunch of new voice/personalities), hopefully that will come with more clothing and accessories too.

Hey, a question for all of you cards makers out there. Do you use a base model whenever you make a new character card? And I don't mean like the game's default models, but instead like a base model of your own.

I want to start making a bunch of character cards of my own but I am unsure of how to start.

If I'm making an OC I have a general idea of what they're going to look like.

If I'm making a character from one of my favorite artists, a vtuber, or some random character I saw. I'll find as many reference images I can on gelbooru, pixiv, twitter etc then have photoshop open in the background to match colors and try to make the character look as close as possible.

Not sure if that will help, but reposting from another thread when discussing card creation:

Depends, starting from scratch to try and recreate a character with a completely different art style is pretty hard, or maybe that's just me who's not good with it. I tend to download a LOT of cards though, even some that I don't plan to directly use but have elements that I find interesting or good looking.

Then when trying to make a character, I often start by loading just part of various cards (face, hair, body...) that are somewhat close to what I aim for, and mix them until I have a "good enough" basis. Then I work on the editor from there to make the character I actually want.
Don't know if that's a common or the best way to do it, but for me it works better than starting with the bland default model.
So, my "base model" varies because most of the time it's an amalgamation of partially loaded cards until I get close enough to a workable base. It's kind of a messy way to do it, but it's what works best for me.

Here's what is in my opinion a really good Nagatoro card. Found it on that yuki portal site, whatever it's called. Not sure if it's already been posted here but regardless, hope you guys will like it.
