As you can see I'm telling various short stories, some with smooth animations some require just opposite, need to be messy, ugly shanking snapshots. Studio is universal tool as I learn. No thumbnail prewiev

Bit of a PSA for anyone like me that was having issues with some of the maps. Turns out that some of the maps included in the modpacks behave differently depending if you're using DHH or Graphicsmod. Some of the maps are unusable in graphicsmod, as far as I can tell. Example is selfishcrow's Attic map. Looks great if you use DHH, utterly unuseable in graphicsmod.
I mean, unusable. Lighting doesn't work at all no matter what I tried. AiLegend's hotel club map was also problematic. You can add lighting in graphicsmod but the built in lighting was doa which was annoying.

Just a follow up on my prev post. If anyone knows the people making the decisions on the modpacks can you please please PLEASE ask them to somehow differentiate the maps for DHH and Graphicsmod optimized?
Out of curiosity, I've been comparing a number of the maps and holy crap the difference between if you're using DHH or GM is huge.
I know that scenes are dependent on which you use, but I'd have expected that the maps included in the packs are neutral. That they'd be the same in either DHH or GM, but nope. Nuh uh. No way. The differences between how they look in one or the other is huge.
This would be really helpful as I myself have not used maps that are actually good just because they looked like crap in GM. I only learned that they're good today as I try them out in DHH.

Launch powershell as an administrator and make symbolic link between honey select scene directory and the one you want to add scenes from.
Code:
New-Item -ItemType SymbolicLink -Path "$game_dir_with_scenes\$sym_link_name" -Target "$scene_dir"
for example

New-Item -ItemType SymbolicLink -Path "D:\Games\HoneySelect 2 DX BetterRepack\UserData\Studio\scene\scenes from another drive" -Target "E:\honey_select_scenes"
OMG, for some reason I didn't think of PowerShell for a long time. THAT was what I was looking for since ... probably IO shared my first cards. It totally completes what I was writing about lately about external folders. Now I can also merge my CharaFolders of the different instances, don't need to copy around on new updates, can edit in maker when working in studio or checking animations without copying ...
