THE absolute best? Subjective. However all the top scene creators are active in the Illusionsoft discord. Unfortunately some of them only use Fanbox as a platform which makes it damn near impossible to support them if you are from outside Japan.
Mousedel, Oldrozo, Apolion, 55b55, RealGoodStuff, there are dozens .....
All of these are good but I'm going to nitpick Realgoodstuff, having subscribed to them (him? idk) on and off for some time, I think they should be on fraud watch. Their scenes are pretty good and they provide a generous amount of free content, but retroactively moving assets from a $5 to a $15 tier then locking them behind "limited time" offers is scummy as hell. They also went over a month between last November and December without posting, which is fine but without any notice, warning, or schedule provided I had to unsubscribe.
Do we need to download anything else to make the scenes load correctly?
Or good to just only download scenes folder?
If you are using Better Repack you will have the majority of mods needed to run scenes, but possibly not all. Studio NEO will tell you which exact mods you are missing when you load a scene, from there you can search and most mods are available online for free.
I'm pretty sure you can download individual mods from the BR website. If not, you can choose to extract individual files from the torrent.

I dunno why sometimes the game misses the reference and pops up missing mods messages, I have seen that before in my machine with "metaru's nipple zipmod", the second time I ran the game it dissapear. Or maybe i have had two different zipmod versions, who knows.
Some old cards will not run in modern HS2 game, i mean, newer repacks. I used to habe BR8 for a long time, in when BR12 or BR13 came out, the BepInEx went updated and mostly plugins did not work anymore, when updating my game, most of my old scenes were garbaje, broken poses and animations, also I had multiple messages of "missing zipmods" regarding Hanmen, K1T0 and nyaacho.
Try changing the skin type to your card in the chara maker, save and reload. that worked for me.
you may want to post your card here so we can se if the issue replicates in our machines.
Yeah I also unsubbed because I noticed that they stopped posting.
Forgot to mention that 55b55 announced their retirement a year ago, and a number of other creators have also either retired or had their main pages taken down by site regulations. F95Zone has a lot of archived forums, but links to online folders and drives are likely dead. Thankfully I think Discord reinstated metadata from images so it's possible to scrape content from the Illusion Discord.

Not even been updated on the usual spots since july last year.

Brutalisk's shit is large (each png is like 100MB). It'll take a while to upload. Like I have 5 seperate 7z files that are 2GB each now of the newer stuff.
Filipe's stuff I got is around 6GB...
Sadaobbdrgn is about 2GB.

, I think. He is really good.Yeah you're right I guess my link was bad. The older stuff doesn't work probably because of all the updates - there's this dick orientor mod that since it has gone through changes messes up a lot of older scenes.
