DONT OVERTHINK IT!

...
Thank you for your words! I am scared the stubborn perfectionist-to-the-smallest-detail in me will never be 100% convinced of that way of thinking. But it really helps to read it and get reminded others may be feeling the same way you do. If I think of my "time-frames" so to say, like those you mentioned of yours, I get mad at myself like: Are you insane? But in my opinion the most important is I keep making steps forward every single day, and each day the results are closer to get released. Render quality is not my top priority. And up to some point, the perfectionism will have to let the reason in charge. At least for a while ;) Best of luck with your project!

I've seen quite a few character cards that use "[DBLin]Type03_MR", I know as much as these are called facemods, but nothing else.
Is this better in some way than the default Type1-4? Should I make/use characters with this facemod?
Considering I'm looking to create characters I'll reuse for a long time, is it safe to use these facemods? Animation is possible with them too right?
Thanks!

DBLin face give you an access to more facial expression in studio.
Though as the downside it's not compatible with Hanmen's teeth shader.

There is one other issue that has started occurring with playing animations in TimeLine. When the character moves, the breasts shake like crazy when they're not supposed to. This didn't used to occur, and it is taking place in multiple scenes, so it's not one specific scene or character issue. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I found a workaround that, although not ideal, solves this problem. Select the character with this problem, then go to HS2PE, then 'Advanced Mode', then 'Boobs & Butt', then disable both the 'Right Boob' and 'Left Boob'. This will prevent them from moving during the animation. If this is only happening during certain parts of the animation, you can add these as interpolables in TimeLine (look in the HS2PE section, towards the middle) and only disable them at certain times, rather than the entire animation.

Disabling these settings prevents the breasts from moving at all, therefore fixing the excessive jerking problem I brought up. Since this prevents them from moving at all, this isn't an ideal fix, but it can be used only during times it happens. For me, it takes place during two animations out of nearly a dozen I've created. I have no idea why it started happening all of a sudden and wonder if it has anything to do with any updates I've applied recently.

Hopefully this helps anyone else having this frustrating problem!

So I am sharing here my cheat sheet in its current state. I am just asking you to share your findings here and to mention me. So in case you find out something I am missing, I get properly notified and can update it for everyone else.

For this first public version I removed those shortcuts I had customized for my personal use, (that's the most probable reason why you found some not doing anything at all for you, @ pgyrund, because the sheet I shared on my previous post included some that are not predefined, and I had already customized for myself) so now it should be much closer to those you all may currently have.

I am sharing 4 "transparent" images (pretty sure most of you here know how to add some bg and prefer to add the one of your choice), and the original draw.io file. Images are in two sizes: 4k and Full-HD (1920p) and I'm including both the HS2-only version and the full landscape version with the addition of shortcuts for Ren'py and VS Code (everything still a WIP).

In case you don't know Draw.io, it is a pretty useful program to make all kinds of diagrams, and it can be very convenient to make something like this or any mind mapping in general. The standalone version is awesome enough, but since I found the VS Code extension that completely integrates draw.io inside VS Code, I am finding it even more convenient and useful for many aspects of my workflow.

So first, just a preview of how the "final" (still WIP) result looks on my dual-screen desktop once I integrate this cheat sheet in a dual-screen desktop background.

Here the draw.io file:

And you got the images available as attached files.
Please share any finding you make about these shortcuts!
Hope it proves as useful for you as for me!

Nicely done and very helpful. Thank you.

Dont use VideoExport's video generation feature.
It's slow and prone to stuck.
Only use the frame capture feature and use 3rd party program to generate the video.
The easiest one is Blender.
If you understand command line, you can try use FFmpeg.
Actually VideoExport uses FFmpeg too. But for unknown reason, getting stuck when generating the video is a known issue since back then.
Also, this way you can capture frame and generate video on parallel.
I didn't realize this was a long-running issue and wonder why it hasn't been fixed yet.

I see that ffmpeg has a new version 8.0 that was released three months ago. Is it possible to have the Studio use this version? I wonder if that would fix the problem.

Could you let me know what command line you'd use to covert a folder of images to an mp4 @ 60fps? This would be exactly what the Studio would do. I looked at Blender, and that program is way overkill for me, and am not even sure how to have that massive program do this.

Unfortunately I don't use ffmpeg to generate the video. But I do use ffmpeg to make a GIF out of MP4 file or trim MP4 files.
I'm using Blender instead as it's more user friendly.
You just need to insert the image sequences to the timeline, configure the output files and voila you get the mp4 file.

Hello, I was wondering how I could get animation on an ass like It bounces nicely, I used HS2PE's force/gravity on my attempt but eventually gave up because it seemed extremely limited. is the animation I've got so far, and I would like to add a bounce to her ass but no matter what I do it just doesn't look right, what is the technique?

Dynamic bone item on the thruster, item properties (Ass) on the thrusted character. Play with positioning and physics.

Tweak the breast physics and make sure the female chara's body moves. If the breast jiggle is still not enough, you can add a dynamic bone collider to simulate the jiggle.

Her thighs are also jiggling, I'm pretty sure you cant do that on HS2, right?

Anyone know how to make the cubemaps look good without turning FOV all the way up? They (The cubemaps/skyboxes/whatever) look really crisp at FOV 120, unfortunately nothing else does.

Does anyone know if there are any guides on what all the lighting settings (F5) do? There are a lot of them, and changing their settings often doesn't do anything noticeable. It'd be nice to know what all these settings actually do.

It's doable with hooh drag tracker or meinabox record tracker.
Meinabox's is basically hooh's but with more features added.
is there a guide or tutorial i could watch on how to use one of these items? i have both but no idea what to do with them

How do you remove or at least relocate the dang white circle/plus sign in studio? It always stops me from getting into positions I want to be in.

You mean the crosshair?
It serves as your orbit center point.
Just hold and drag the scroll button to move it around.
If you dont want it to be displayed, there's a toggle for it at left side menu.
