Identify I'm looking for an RPG game where this dude slowly turns into a vampire girl.

Essentially, the plot is that this guy finds this scarlet gem in a cave, but all of a sudden this gem shoots up into his chest. All of a sudden, his body slowly starts to change into that of a vampire's, and his thirst for blood suits his new form. His first thought is to head to the closest church, only to find that his new curse cannot be cleansed.
