I thought it'd be like Super Meat Boy, but it's much closer to something like Getting Over It. The controls are slow and floaty, but they're balanced out by also being stiff and inflexible. The pace is dirt slow, with challenges being fairly minor and basic but spaced out enough to test your patience and difficult to wrangle with your garbage controls. "Instant restart" is meaningless- it's a little like saying you can instantly restart climbing the mountain again in Getting Over It once you fall off. It's
technically true, but also false. The quote just promises a completely different kind of game- fast, high skill, low punishment, tightly controlled platforming. Instead it delivers slow, low skill, high punishment, shittily controlled masochism.
I don't know. If you like this sort of thing, good on you, but it's always seemed like a bit of a crutch to me. It's a whole lot easier to make shitty controls with shitty basic levels and call that a 'hardcore platformer', then it is to make good, tight controls to navigate a well crafted, planned out deathmaze.
Oh, also, there's no sexual content. You don't even get any titties. This game broke my heart in so many ways. Now I want to play a proper Super Meat Bitch where the girl gets fucked every time she screws up, and it will probably never be delivered.
