Ever since that guy Jhn showed up, things have been going downhill. Everything was going well before he showed up with his AI. We had weekly previews that showed he was constantly working on the mod, and now he doesn't even want to share them because of that guy.

it's been two years since this thread started. Couple more months before it was even created.

I wanted to replay the game with the color mod same as everyone and been keeping a look out ever since. For two years. Giving feedback, motivating. Seeing Daseson starting new projects without finishing this one. I know where this leads to. And we are already here, hearing excuses from her. To us, and herself. 10 pages turned to 5, 5 to 2. Now none at all, but with a finger pointing at other things as if her motivation hasn't dried up a year ago.

I understand this is free, but I saw posts willing to help alleviate the grind, myself included. All were ignored. Hell, i DM'ed her privately with no reply for the same offer. So don't give me that crap about her being upset. If anything, she need's to see how built up hope is letting everyone down.

Hate me all you want for this message. I firmly believe there are other people who think the same way. Her attempt was noble, wanting to do this by herself was just prideful.

I've already said why I haven't agreed to work with anyone. It's not out of pride, as you say, but because I can't commit to another person who's going to work at a different pace than mine, Even before you offered, I had already tried it with two other people and it didn't end well.

More than once, I've said that if anyone wants to continue the mod, let me know, and I'll gladly ask the moderators to give them ownership of the thread. No one has told me they want to continue the project. I even proposed the same to the creator of the AI mod he refused, saying he wouldn't do it out of respect for me, and ended up creating his own thread.

Seeing that he was doing a much faster and more detailed job with the AI than I was, I decided to abandon the project to give him free rein to finish it with AI and many told me that they didn't want that mod and that I should continue with this one (Although my way of doing it was most childish and questionable, deep down that was its purpose).

On the other hand, you say that I have started many projects and that is not the case. I only have two, this one and Monochrome. I have been offered more but I have always said no, since if I cannot finish these, why would I create more?

The proposal is still open if anyone wants to end this mod they can tell me and I can open a ticket so the moderators can grant them ownership of the thread.

Remember that I started all this because no one else had done it at the time.

And if they don't like the speed of my progress, you can stop following the thread and go to the AI thread, since I imagine the updates are more frequent there.

I'll be honest, I don't like AI at all. Of course, there are rules on the Discord server, and you can moderate yourself. Anyone who can't behave gets kicked out. Maybe it's also good to have a server where your own rules apply.

The server is there when you need it. I'll wait, even if it's for months or years. So you can come to me anytime.

I was looking forward to new pieces by you and especially your explanations about how and why you did in particular scene or image. I am not artist but i really liked reading about what your thought process was when you colored and improved the art.

I dont care about the ai version because its just reusing your work. There is no thoughts behind anything it outputs. No soul behind the results. And no, the ai color mod also died as soon as it spawned because of backlash and confusion it caused.

I am not defending them, but Jhnnn spent hundreds of hours coloring manually (at least they claim to) and then tried to use ai. This caused the entire drama bubble to explode. They also said that coloring entire game would take hundreds of hours and realistically take years to finish without use of ai. But they lost interest in doing this with or without use of ai.

What i am saying is if you Daseson decide to quit, then the coloring mod is most likely gonna be dead for real and then what follows is someone else will try doing it with AI again and use your mod as a base. This is way too time consuming for anyone to do for free. The fact you even tried to do and did amazing job until now is a gift in itself. Its just some people are frustrated because they want it fast and dont care about who or how its done. They would happily and mindlessly slurp the ai slop.

I hate ai and i hate how it pollutes and destroys creative sphere. People dont realize how dangerous this is until its gonna be too late and until we live in dystopic echochamber of ai generated content based on other generated content.

I also liked sharing progress on my work, as it allowed me to see other people's opinions and gain different perspectives.

Many of the things I'm doing today have come from suggestions made to me in this thread.

Yesterday I was trying out some new things and recoloring some scenes, and after seeing the before and afters, the change is really noticeable. I'm now using many techniques I've learned throughout the project that I didn't before, and the difference is quite noticeable.

I am truly grateful because many of the things I have learned have been thanks to their suggestions.

However, this may be selfish of me, but when I saw that they were using the AI mod and it included things I hadn't even published, it left me with a horrible feeling. I felt really bad seeing my ideas being "stolen" and it made me think "Why am I wasting my time on this?"

That's why I made that decision. I know it's very selfish of me, but I really don't want to feel that way again, because it makes me seriously reconsider whether I want to continue with this or not.

But anyway, taking advantage of the fact that yesterday was a holiday in my country and since I didn't have any plans, I made a lot of progress on one of my projects and I'm really close to publishing new news, so if you like my work, please stay tuned.

You most likely haven't installed the mod correctly.

Hey guys,

Well, today I wanted to post that my motivation to continue with this mod is really low because of everything that's happened. I can't even share my progress for fear of it being stolen and remade with AI.

And now I see that this AI mod is also coloring the kitsune images... so... I guess I'll put this mod on hold until I figure out what to do with it, since my current feeling is that I'm just wasting my time when someone else is doing it faster and with equal or better quality than I am.

So... if the creators of the AI mod want this thread, please let me know so I can ask the site staff to give them ownership.
