Hi guys,
Wow how many messages
Hmm this makes me a little embarrassed but I think I'll say it:
Warning that there is a lot of text:
But hey, not everything is bad,
As a thank you for all your nice words I want to show you this, they are some of the images I had prepared last week to share this weekend, before what happened happened...
I LOVED the latest update of the FFFOX MOD!!
So I couldn't hold back the urge and I wanted to color the cute images of Akapp and Blue:
Blue:
Akapp:
In these last images I tried to give them extra shadows and add everything I have been learning, I know it is not a reward on par with what I did but I hope you like it.
Again I'm sorry for making you feel bad... I would love to continue with the mod but I don't think the moderators will return the thread and much less accept the creation of a new one on my part, in my experience I know that they are very impartial to do well their work and I would only be causing them more inconvenience, also I don't know if Jhnnn wants to continue working on completing the mod.
In any case I will continue coloring images since more than a hobby it has become a lifestyle for me hehe.
Hello Das! First of all, I wanted to say thank you for all the work you've done up to now, it really is a feast for the eye!
I've been lurking for years now, and as someone who played the early versions of the mod, I believe you've gotten better and better over the years, and it's been a pleasure to see you improve in the shadows all this time.
While AI work can "speed up" and put out "better content than you" (Which honestly, I personally disagree with), what it cannot do it putting out the soul in your drawings. Unlike you, the AI doesn't think of every small details when it generates an image, it just uses what it already existed.
Unlike you, who do create something new, who questions yourself about the quality of your work, who improves in an organic way, who listens to criticism and share your progress linking people together, the AI does nothing of such, and is just "an easy way" for impatient people to get the most frustrating content to color out in advance.
I'm very happy to see that you've continued to color things on your side, and that you haven't let it take your down!
Seeing your pictures once again proved my point and I'll be very happy to see what you bring out next again, if you wish to continue weekly reports and other things like this!
There is no shame in feeling frustrated and demotivated by the fact that AI can steal in 10 seconds all the work you've done for years and bring out something like this. It's perfectly reasonable, and many artists feel the exact way.
However, just know that some people just cannot get anything from the AI, that these people actually can "feel" how they lack soul, and will always support handmade art over AI, even if they have to wait longer.
Also, while this thread might be marked as "Abandoned" and that you lost ownership, I believe that most people here do not care at all about things like these and would even be willing to migrate to a new thread if you cannot get it back to update the main post.
Sorry, this was a very long wall of text, and I'm not sure how to format my message here, but I really wanted to say that, even if I technically do not add much to what has been said already!
Keep on drawing and getting better Das! You can bet that I'd download any following versions you bring up over what has been done with AI even if it is less complete, and some others will too!
As others said: We came to get the game colored, we're staying because we want to see YOUR art.
Much love to you, and I hope this didn't ruin the following festivities coming up at the end of the year for you!
