This might be the last blog update of the year so Inusuku wishes us a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year... even if it's a tad early! He regrets not being able to finish the development by December (like he said he wanted a few months ago), if it had been a simple remake it would have been finished long time ago but with all the new story and RPG elements it turned out like this. He was like in a trance in November working the hardest he could so the toughest parts of the story are practically done and, while there are still some adjustments to do, he managed to pull off what he wanted to do with the battle system. But not only that, a good number of new illustrations were also made, jumping from 195% to 210% (Tatsuya, do your best).
He goes into details about the battle system now, a very important thing he managed to do with the combat system is being able to switch party members (in Fantasy terms, he made it possible to switch Yukari and Narumi into your party). Another feature he added is a change in the "Guard Break" mechanic from Fantasy. He explains that in Fantasy when a character takes a strong hit they'll be knocked down but in this game there'll be a shield bar, if it's depleted the character will be knocked down (he uses the term 強靭値 to explain it, better known as "Poise" for Elden Ring fans). He feels that the battle will be less unfair now since you can see when a character will be knocked down. Likewise, depleting an enemy's shield bar will allow you to deal big damage. Inusuku says that in Fantasy he "balanced" being knocked down by showing a CG of the girls exposing their panties but this time around, on top of that, you will also be able to deal major damage, making it a "true" balance:
The battling mechanics are the same as Fantasy except that from a front-view so people coming from Fantasy should have experience with this system.

The everyday life with your sister, with the exception of the sex scenes, is almost completely done, all's left is programming all that which is the most bothersome part for him. There are some fun bugs he found that he'd like to implement in some way or form (like the previously posted naked Lil Sis in the cafeteria). I think we can expect some news regarding the sex scenes in the next blog update.

Also real exciting to see the progress bars go from like... 25%-ish across the board (Except illustrations that had been high for a long while now) jump up to 50% and 60% across the board. I am looking forward to this game so dam much... I'm kind of disappointed he "named" her テスト though.
What I like it's the introducing shield mechanic, that it can regenerate if not broken and there are special attacks (like onichan's) that prioritise shield damage over the hp one. Simple, yet very cool.
It could make the original monochrome canon to the remake...
I thought it was the Fantasy sister (after a death ending) personally.
