I swear, I haven't uploaded any new viruses to my game since the last update. Ren'Py games constantly trigger false positives, something in the python scripting...

For peace of mind, though: I downloaded the file off GoFile, ran it through VirusTotal.

Only 2/43 vendors flag as malicious. The first, Jiangmin, has many google results about false positives and isn't highly regarded; the second, Kingsoft, I also found this recent Renpy startup file run through VirusTotal that shows Kingsoft flagging it for the same exact (nonexistent) "trojan".

Major scanners like Malwarebytes, Microsoft, etc run clean.

I was pretty sure that the flag was false positive, just wanted to make you aware. For some reason pixeldrain download was deemed safe, but it was still odd.

To be fair, if red tape could tame the warp, I expect they would absolutely use it to do so, and bureaucrats would be protected by elite space marine guards or something.

I agree. This game hit a certain sweet spot for me personally. As porn I do feel like it's lackluster because the sex scenes feel very short and unengaging. Music would also genuinely do it good, especially something fitting the game's theme.

Something I'm wondering about is whether we'll get to revisit some of the characters we "help" out. It would certainly be a bummer if every or even most characters just disappear from the plot because we finished their storyline.

we already do. sister second quest for example. baron will also be returning character most likely same for techpriest.
factory bosses from newest update will also play some part in future.
and sometimes visiting previous places has new interactiones.
Bridge has 3 different epilogues depending if you visit it second time after techpreist.

Yes, this very much feels like a case of "I want to make a really good choose your own adventure novel about being an inksoul in 40k, but I have no idea how to find an audience...let's just make it a lewd game, I guess?". As the former it's honestly brilliant, as the latter I found myself being more annoyed at the fact that every single female character was trying to turn my glorious mission of paperwork into a harem. Like girl please, I'm trying to reach my quotas here!

So, do psykers or their equivalent not exist in this world? There is certainly still supernatural phenomenon, but I don't recall any mention of human psionics. This Imperium would necessarily be structured quite differently without them, since psykers being the only viable conduit of long range communications is a constant bottleneck in 40k's Imperium.

Part of that's intentional - the setting is a dying, despotic, fanatical sci-fi regime caught halfway off the cliff at the edge of history!

Good concerns. To that last part specifically, I do have plans to add repeatable h-scenes and misc kinda, slice of life content for existing characters - to help alleviate some of that disappearing syndrome you speak of. And I'm trying to avoid writing new 'CAN'T GO FARTHER COME BACK LATER' messages in favor of more in-universe phrasing.

There is psymaphores waving mind-flags at each other across the sea of space, Imperial Witches wandering between cities to keep the fires under control... there are ancient technologies for FTL communication, but they're very rare to say the least. The teetering framework of an multi-millenia old advertising network forms the backbone of Imperial inter-galactic command...
