The worst part of the site, like Steam games that want to get the most money, country situations be damned so we'll charge them like first world countries, is the fact they don't accept regional pricing, by far the worst thing that scares people from poorer countries away.
Some might argue "just move to a richer country you dumbass!" statements, yet failing to understand why people would rather stay, and the fact moving out of the country to another is a pretty high expense in itself, not to mention even if you do have money to move out, you might get new problems in the new country because foreigner reasons. I already had people complaining about it on Steam and calling me horrible because I'm not from US aligned countries, but it only proves that they can only obey money, standards be damned. It is basically "if you are homeless, just buy a house", ignoring what problems they would or already have.
Dlsite already has its own problems, Steam has problems too, and others are too small to sell their own aside from subscription services like Subscribestar, so I am not hopeful overall of storefronts in general. Not helped by the fact that Steam also houses rather shady devs, some of which go straight to trolling territory while even becoming legalized of sort with a Gachimuchi asset flip having a Warcraft 3 vampirism aura avatar frame, lazily made Live2D avatars from "hentai puzzle" games, devs who think that they should protest legal laws by breaking them by porn, while Dlsite houses lazy ones instead that made games that have rather heavy flaws yet still show 5 stars. I am not saying all are bad of course, there's actually decent creators who actually care for their audience, just saying that it gives leeways for ones that want to exploit them instead, some of them breaking the law by themselves, if not encouraging users themselves breaking them.
