There is a different Player 5 picture in the files, but doesn't show up in game? What's up with that?
One of the major updates of 0.1.5 was the updating/improving the enemy art and once that was finished I started looking at NPCs and the PC. I was messing around with improving the PC art but I haven't fully committed to it yet. Please let me know if you liked that art example for Player 5 :)

If I may, as its now been just over a year since the game appeared on here, how do you feel about it's progress and current state?

That's a interesting question. On the one hand I am happy about the size of the game with the amount of area along with the variety of the enemy types. On the other hand I wish the main story was farther along with more fleshed out NPCs. So I guess I am mostly happy so far with the progress so far while there's always a little voice in the back of my mind urging me to push faster and harder to get the content out.

Ye rushing to get more story content out is not good if you are sacrificing setup for the future via not fleshing out fully the core mechanics making it so you have to do it later on. However that does make it hard to retain an audience once you've gone public since update to update it can seem like barely anything has changed unless you have an specific test/dev section to make sure those mechanics work.

In my personal view I'm waiting to see if you do an graphical re-work of sorts where you include animated images (even if it's an option to turn on for it to be RL gifs if there's no AI made gifs that aren't trippy weirdness) or more images just overall included. As when I first played back on either first or second release here I found the amount of text to images overwhelming to myself however I personally avoid VN heavy games or still pictures that rarely change with heavy description text games. Since they feel like they slow the pacing down for me as I'm not an fast reader.

The game however is your creation and your passion and project so you should feel happy that it's getting to what you envisioned it to be while also making hard decisions when they come up if you need to scale back on the vision if adding something specific is too taxing. I meanwhile am just someone interested in what you create.

If possible I'd recommend reworking the inventory, storage, and shop interfaces before too many stores and such are added. The amount of items already in game is impressive, but managing depositing/selling/using items is a mess.

Selling a full stack of items. Inspecting an item so you know what it does would be nice. And using more then one at a time would be nice.

Just something to think about, better to get core systems ironed out ASAP in my (limited) experience so a rework later is not hellish. Goodluck.
