Ultimately, it's a match 3 game. The leveling mechanics make completion an inevitability rather than a challenge or even a reward. It's just a chore to check off for some quick pixel-titty.
However! The flaws of the game really shine through once you finish the story and start into the Hard Mode battles. First, they take away the Pero-Pero and Spanking modes, which removes two of the unique mechanics the game has been training you to pursue up to that point. Even if one was an annoying -and basically worthless- mini-game.
Then, they slowly kill you over the course of the battle. That in and of itself isn't terrible. Putting a timer on your moves and making you play quickly is nothing new in match 3 games. But most have the sense to not kill you during a cascade sequence you have no control over!
That's why I rate this game poorly. The entire end-game model stands in defiance of everything you've been taught is proper beforehand. Long cascade combos are a death-sentence rather than a method to succeed; 4- and 5-piece combos have no benefit attached to them. And even then, because you're failing upward, you'll still win eventually, so why make it such a slog in the first place? You don't get a free pass on good game design just because you're a porn game. Especially when the design document for your game is already made a thousand times over.
