Narrative Expansion
New Chapter 1 – Introduction
A complete rewrite of the game’s opening.
Introduces Alex, Mike, and Jessica with deeper personality contrasts.
Establishes the university setting and the mysterious InnerSelf Program.
Adds interactive choices that begin tracking hidden values of submission and resistance.
Dialogue Revisions
Multiple conversations across the game were rewritten to better align with the new introduction.
Characters Nathan, Jessica, Mike, and Karina now have more natural, consistent, and emotionally resonant dialogues.
Improved pacing and tone to strengthen immersion.
Visual & Scenario Additions
New University Lounge
A modern, welcoming environment for early exploration. (Props and NPCs will be added in upcoming patches)
Used in Chapter 1 to reinforce the social atmosphere of the campus.
New Auditorium
Two new artworks created for Scene 3 – Karina’s Speech.
Adds depth and atmosphere to the InnerSelf Program’s introduction.
Designed to highlight the institutional and mysterious tone of the ceremony.
Interface Improvements
Dialogue Box Overhaul
Redesigned dialogue box for clarity and better structure.
New control buttons:
Zoom In / Zoom Out for text size and box scaling.
Next to advance or instantly complete typing text.
Hide to temporarily remove the dialogue box.
Dialogue box can be restored simply by clicking anywhere on the screen.
Choices system improved:
Buttons auto-adjust to text size.
Consistent width for all options.
Hover animations for better feedback.
Only implemented in Chapter 1 for now.
Ink Integration
First time using Ink integration for dialogues and choices.
Provides a more flexible and dynamic way to handle branching narrative.
Next Steps
The upcoming update will focus on introducing NPCs to the university environment.
NPCs will be varied and designed with daily routines, making the campus feel alive and dynamic.
Some will offer optional dialogues, rumors, or hints, while others will enrich the atmosphere and immersion.
This addition will transform the university from a static backdrop into a living social space, laying the groundwork for deeper narrative interactions.
