VN - Others - Completed - Inochi no Spare [Final] [AKABEiSOFT3]

An absolutey disgusting, artistically bankrupt and exploitative piece that crosses several lines for the sake of cheap drama. A stupid cherry blossom themed illness? A child conceived for the sole purpose of being murdered and her heart harvested, brainwashed by her parents to accept this fate? Vapid writing that focuses on the intended beneficiary of such an atrocity and expects us to sympathize with her while she goes around enjoying slice of life and random sex? Repugnant on every level, a failure at storytelling and monstrously exploitative in every way. The only consolation is that the sacrificial lamb outlasts all the fools.

Its a kinetic Novel as there are no choices for the quite depressing story. You will get an hunch of the end quite soon, I wont spoil it here but be ready to shed some tears if you could connect to the protagonists. The CG are the best of this VN and probably the reason to get through.

Translation is OK in terms of understanding whats going on but this is not too complex to comprehend. I actually skipped most of it to move forward anyway. So overall above average, story does not really explain any background or motivation. Some characters are just unmuteable bad.

Maybe this had deserved some alternative routes to give it a lighter touch but that may not be fitting from a Japanese perspective.
