I should probably clarify that I'm only vaguely familiar with the 40k franchise, so if it makes more sense to have a female protagonist from a story standpoint, I don't get it.

I assume it's just personal preference.
A female protagonist is certainly possible, but trainer games with female protagonists are generally shit unless you like playing as a walking cum receptacle.

I'm fine with the lesbian part but really not a fan of other dicks in my adult games.
Plus this is a 40k setting, which is usually grim and dark and uncompromising, so definitely not a playground for happy consensual girl love. Chances are there's gonna be plenty of domination and submission, humiliation, bdsm (it's a fucking Inquisitor after all) and possibly sexual violence.
With a female protagonist there's a high chance the player will be mostly on the receiving end of all that kinky shit, especially once other races are introduced (Orcs, Chaos, Tyranids).
Since I'm neither submissive nor interested in dominating a bunch of dudes I'll probably have to stay clear of this, no matter how much I like the setting.

even after all the years i have been playing this table top game..no one ever seems to understand..its dark humor..so just think of 40k as black humor..you can take it serious or not..for the lore sure take it that way..but let me tell you the lore changes all the time..even from 1st to 2nd edition of the game..so the female fits what the dev has in mind.and posting about it any other way will not change it.so after reading the 10th post about male protag..sort of done with it..and this will be my last post of complaining about the complaining.

Well thanks for explaining 40k to me, I certainly haven't been playing the tabletop and various computer games and totally never read any of the novels so I had no idea (do I need an /s here?).
Anyway, the dev isn't affiliated with GW in any way. I'm not talking about changes in the lore but about how trainer games with female protagonists usually turn out, regardless of the setting.
Feel free to disagree but don't try to lecture me on what gets my dick hard.

I'll confess, I haven't played the game yet and I don't intend to until it has a few more updates. But I'm enjoying all these heresy memes. Keep it up, fellow degenerates!
This does look quality but I can already see the imperial aquila in the background before and games workshop who are very 'protective' of their copyrights uses the presence of copyrighted symbols all the time to go after fan projects so hopefully this lasts!
