Thanks for the suggestion ! Honestly I'm not sure about putting pressure on him. He has his own plans and will, if he'd have shown interest in getting involved, it would have been great, however if he wants to pursue other projects, I don't want to rob him of his ideas. But I'll look into this publisher none the less.

Regarding his permission, I don't think he would ever come to remove his permission for the project, unless we bluntly steal his art for a profit, but if, regardless, that happens and he contacts me about having to stop the project I probably would do so . I don't have the resources (time, money and mind) to fight a loosing battle for a free fan project done almost entirely on some else's IP.


Me and Grey talked about this, there are several things that we are unsure about at this point, mainly the current instability of the industry, for payment tycoon reasons , and it makes it harder for us to start something from the ground up.

There is also an annoying sense of duty that makes us want to finish what we started, however resources are making it difficult to find a way to do so. We've been discussing it and are aligning on the Conclusion Roadmap for it to be a straight line to the finish, but given the CG matter, we have to make a lot of choices regarding scenes, so we may limit the number or prioritize scenes leading up the story and regions for the story. I'll talk more about our decisions when we plan the last roadmap.

VERY BUGGY GAME

Game tries to autodetect your system language and changes itself to the language it detects automatically. I HATE when applications do this, because they either never do it correctly (I'm also running japanese locale, so installers especially love to start in japanese), or use the language I, in fact, do not want them to use.

In this specific instance, the game decided that if my system language is russian, it should put itself in russian. It is, obviously, dead wrong — if I wanted my porn games to be in russian, I'd be getting them on a russian website.

It also does not let me change the language back. Either the language selection needs to be fixed, or english should be force set to be the default. Preferrably both.

EDIT: in the meantime, if someone can send me their settings file with the game set to english, I'd appreciate that.

Did you came across a specific issue? We've fixed a lot of small issues on this version, however there is always the chance we missed something .

I apologize for the bug, we forgot to add a file to the executable. I've done a re-upload early in Itch, if you re-download from there you can freely change the language again . Unfortunately I cannot re-upload the MediaFire links at the time.

Regarding the locale change, it is based on probability, more than anything else. We assumed that more often than not, if your OS is in a certain locale, then it is expected that you'd want it on that language, maybe we assumed wrong. Many people that play the game are not familiar with the English language and that is why that feature exists, however, perhaps, we need to fine-tune it so it only changes to the locale on the specific country as well, because we use the general locale code, and not the country specifier, since for Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese it does not make much difference as the different countries can still read the most of it, or so I was told .

EDIT: Or we could add a prompt on the first execution to have confirmation on the language by the player, I think that would be the best option, thank you for the feedback, it gave me a nice compromise idea .

Also, I personally don't really like the defeats skipping a day, it just makes everything more tedious and less fun IMHO. The other changes/new stuff is great though, you're really going all out and you deserve this break ^^

older builds work, newer don't. at some point engine started requiring sse4.2 instructions set, now it just dies on old cpus.
the problem is in upstream godot 4.5+. since you're using a custom engine anyway, can you please replace env.Append(CCFLAGS=["-msse4.2", "-mpopcnt"])`` in SConstruct file with just pass before building?

I'd like to add that it seems to promote the growth of the parasite anyway. So maybe it's intentional that they 'eat' it all so you don't see anything when you look. but nothing happens at 100% anyway. So it does appear bugged either way.

It's the same for me. The thing is, I usually set my system to a country needed to run any given application or to my home country. But I can't enjoy games in my mother language, I grew too used to games in english so anything else breaks my immersion. Plus, sex games is double the weirdness since I can't get in the proper mood if it's my mother language (don't ask me why).

If you want to add translations to future games, just let people choose which language they want to play the game with. I'm not the part of the majority, most people prefer to play games in the language they speak the most.

Edit: For some reason no eggs appear on the x-ray when the insects lay them. Is this on purpose, like there's a random chance of the eggs just not appearing or is it a bug? The parasites appears normally.

I was gonna ask if you guys were gonna include atela other works into the game in the future, then after a little bit of research's i found your FAQ page here:

When infected with Parasite Worms, they will eat any eggs inside, increasing incubation progress, that is why you don't see the eggs, we though it would be an interesting detail .

Thank you for the feedback! If more people dislike it we can add a toggle for it . The idea was to make it more "coherent" with the fact that most critters take about 1 day to incubate. In that line of thought, then after being defeated, Leah should have been "cuddled" and incubating for a day .

It also adds a very small layer of difficulty as you may have to be more careful with being defeated, since before the only punishment was ending the day early. But do let us know if it was a bad idea .

Didn't even notice the instruction set had changed. Thank you for the quick workaround! I'll check if it does not break anything before committing to reverting to SSE2.

I don't know if the impact in performance is big or not, however, since the game does not usually do hard math calculations (we have no physics) it may not loose much .

I understand that some people may not want their own language as I wouldn't want mine as well . The idea was to simplify things for those who do not understand English, as the idea to prompt at game start hadn't crossed our minds yet.

Implementation wise, a locale guess is way simpler and easier to include, but we will change it to include a language prompt at the beginning on version 1.40 .

Also, you are able to change the language in the Settings menu. If the option is broken for you, it was an issue that we did not notice on the first upload. Please re-download from Itch, since we've already corrected the issue there, or you can wait for me to get the fixed version re-uploaded here as well .

Oh sorry, I misunderstood. Incubation only starts on the following day. During sleep, the surviving eggs will be chosen, as you could have collected several eggs from several insects .

If that does not happen, share a screen capture and the log file contents so I can try to decipher what happened.

I actually figured it out, it's just that some of the insects don't actually have incubation/birth events/scenes. I was asking why the mosquito's eggs does not appear and I got my answer while looking at the available scenes.

I went back and tried again and I still have the same issue; it may be similar to the problem Kodek has if you ask me since my egg count is also still on 0. The only difference is me having P worms but they have not grown at all and I've already tried pretty much every scene with eggs except for the egg bee, and even though it probably doesn't matter I've tried messing with the scenes by skipping/not skipping anything in them/stopping the scenes at a specific moment (ex. when the eggs have just been implanted in Leah) and the egg count was still at 0 with NO change with the P worms. I feel like it's not just about not seeing the eggs inside but them not appearing at all.

I would love to share a log file but I'm on android so I don't really know where that's saved if it even exists outside of the apk itself. What can I tell you is that I started the save by going to the jellyfishes (it was my first scene, I ignored the combat tutorial and the forest) and their eggs appeared in the xray after surrendering to them, but the egg count was still at 0 and the eggs disappeared the very next day. I had no P worms back then so i feel like there's gotta be something wrong with the eggs or the incubation system, dunno.

Also, just a suggestion regarding that day skip after defeat, I feel like it would've been a lot better to have the defeats cost more turns during the day instead of skipping the whole day. IMO it would've been much less annoying, still immersive since as you mentioned Leah must've spent some time with the creatures and it would also make sunny days more valuable ^^
