VN - Ren'Py - Instinct Unleashed [Ch.10] [Kind Nightmares]

I won't be beating around the bush with this review. I don't think this is a perfect game, it's clearly not as graphically sophisticated as many other games in this site (wish it were), nor does it have the most intricate setting (certain plotholes and inconsistencies are par for the course for a game this size). So why am I giving this a 5? It's a tentative rating based on a first impression, I'll keep an eye out for future updates and adjust accordingly, but for now let's get right to it:

This game fills a very specific niche in this space that I can almost positively say you will have a hard time finding anywhere else: do you like playing as a confident, morally dubious MC with a no-bullshit attitude for even people she's fond of/mean a lot to her and a futa to boot? You've come to the right place, and as someone that's scoured the site for a similar VN, I have to say this is the only one that ticked all the boxes. Futa MC characters usually have a big problem balancing out the horniness and meekness: they're usually either unapologetic rapists that will fuck anything with a hole or they're so cowardly that it takes forever for there to be any palatable sexual tension to get going. Jade keeps that almost primal horniness and aggressiveness that is vintage futa but with a healthy dose of calm and coolheadedness to balance it out.

As can be expected of a VN that uses the unique demeanor of the MC as a selling point, characterization is a major part of the appeal and that includes other characters (but perhaps not at all): as you initially encounter much of the cast many of them come off as one-dimensional sex objects, but as you learn more about them you realize they have their own problems and insecurities. This is especially true for later chapters, so if you feel it's lacking initially just give it some time... at least until ch 3.

If there's a couple of obvious things that I feel like I'd want to see in this type of work but so far hasn't panned out: One is character growth... the problem being is that the MC is at her apex in terms of maturity, you don't really get to experience her life before that point save for brief glimpses into the past. Another aspect is how would the MC conducts herself in a real tough spot (I say real because there are certain contentious moments so far but nothing major). Of course, it's all being built up and I'm sure we will get to see something eventually. My score will vary depending on those two criteria and how they are handled, but for now I will be giving it the benefit of the doubt and stick to 5 stars because so far it's been a breath of fresh air among other futa games on this site.

Is the game good? Fuck yes. Do I recommend it? Fuck yes.

Do you like hot girls? Do you like exciting sex scenes? Do you like corruption? This is the game for you especially if you aren't fazed by a big futa dick. This game is honestly a nice surprise. Oftentimes, a summary can be misleading so I've never really bothered to take it 100% seriously and just go straight to downloading the game to give it a shot.

At first, I thought that this was just going to be some good ol' fuckathon for our MC, Jade, and I was ready for a good time. After that initial part is where the nice surprise comes in. A good amount of time and effort was made in making sure that there is going to be a story - a good one at that - and then our hero Jade was given a great backstory with her motivations laid bare.

At this point, I was hooked.

The story is well-written and there really isn't much to criticize because the smut is evenly scattered as the story progresses so there's never a time when you're left wondering when is the next sex scene or plot point. You know what I think is better than a good story? Dialogue that is both thought out and entertaining, and this game has it both at a high level.

While playing, never have I thought, "when's the next part coming," and wanted to skip the conversation Jade has with all the characters. The dialogue is what makes you realize that corruption is one of the themes of the game and that it is one of its, if not the, strongest point. The sex scenes become even more exciting thanks to it and if you ask me, an adult game with great dialogue outside of its sex scenes make it way better.

As for the characters, we have a big cast of people that Jade converses and interacts with. They're all unique with all their different goals and motivations, and coupled with how well made the dialogue is, watching Jade talk to - and in some cases, corrupt - them makes it so much more interesting and entertaining. They're visually beautiful and sexy too so I'm sure that not a lot of people are left wanting.

Speaking of sexy, I'm a big fan of the 3D modeling program being used in this game. I personally prefer how each character look and their sex scenes look this way than some UE5 look-alike 4k or 8k renders. Sure, the fidelity may not be as high but I believe that the characters being more stylized in a way actually gives them more character, more substance.

I walked in thinking it'll be another fuckfest for our big dicked futa Heroine and now I'm staying, waiting for how the story unfolds and of course, how Jade will continue fucking her way through this mystery thriller. A 5 star.

My message to Kind Nightmares: I love everything you're doing, keep up the great work! I have nothing to nitpick and with how well-written everything has been so far, I'm going to guess that you already have a well-thought out story board and don't need to be taking suggestions from a random person on the internet.

Mystery plotline that is a bit hard to follow but mainly due to being heavily aroused.
Dominant/caring futa main character that seems to be primarily into girls, hallelujah.
The body and face on Jade is exquisite, reminds me a lot of Brazilian trans star Rafaelly Pontes.
Love the edge on her personality with the tats and the martial arts but also the deeper emotional richness she portrays throughout.
All the females are beautiful, there's a LOT of brunettes, who also seem to get most of the action so far, and I'm not complaining one bit.

i haven't been so entranced in a story so much in a very long time. Up until now, (day 5) this game have been nothing but perfect. I love the dialogs, how the story it's been given, the personality and background of the characters, the plot, how he works with the 'lore' of the futanari, I love the protagonist so much, Dev is a genious. All of that, without even talking about the gameplay. Graphics are a bit low, but only in comparison to games far heavier (and pricier, probably), it takes absolutely nothing of the merit. Even more, considering that the game does such a very good work with the positioning of the scenes, the unique models (or very rare, at least, Idk) and their expressions. All the kinks present are well developed and just feel completely natural within the story. I couldn't be more satisfied with this game. I don't usualy rate games, but this is definetly one of those who deserve-it. I'm going to see if i can buy it on steam, right freaking now.

Someone has taken care over this. A real plot, real writing. Spanish-style renders, if you know what I mean. Infrequent but hot h-scenes. Gradually getting less infrequent, as the pace of the story picks up. Characters to invest in - even some passsing moments of genuine tenderness, which don't compromise the bigger picture of horse-cocked futa getting what and who she wants. Definitely one worth following.

One of the few stories on this site that doesn't make me wanna Ctrl to fast forward. Definitely got me intrigued. Love that the MC is very proactive and isn't just letting the story happen to them. Had very good opportunities to shine light on some characters I was ready to just write off. So heh! Credit to the writer for making properly flawed characters (like Julie and Adam).

Honestly the only detractor is that there isn't a lot of camera angle changes during conversations. Camera keeps bopping back and forth with the same shot over and over. Yeah, it'd call for more renders, but it would make the interactions leagues better with a little more variation and make it even more engaging (I did notice the improvement in chapter 5, so keep it up). In film school they call it the 180 rule (there's tons of tutorials and video essays about if you wanna look it up).

Chapter 1-4 are great and 4-5 stars easily. They have good story telling, sexy scenes and cute girls. The renders are sometimes not the best but serviceable.

Chapter 5 is a travesty sadly. All the great story telling went out the window. It is Inconsistent and just there to drive forward some random sex scenes. I was very disappointed after the amazing setup in the chapters beforehand.

I don't know how I missed this game .. but I'm glad I found it. Cause this game is gooooood.

There's good dialogue, good cast variety and omg the story is amazing, . I am always thankful to games/VNs where the sex is the consequence of the story. And this VN does it well.

I am left unsatisfied because now I want more. I will update the game to a full 5 stars after the gallery bug is solved.

This game has a great story, and does a superb job of mixing the story and sex. Even if the content isn't your cup of tea, give it a try, they are very avoidable. Graphics-wise, not too bad but dev works it well and made the models varied and alluring.

the MC is one of the best protagonists ive seen, such a gigachad. the story is also intriguing. the models are generally pretty although i think the textures may be a little rough at times,, but MC carries this game to 5 stars

Story is pretty bland and the quality is horrible. The choices are basically do you want this person in the story or not and cum inside or outside that is it. It almost looks like it was made on sims but worse.

Instinct Unleashed is super on all fronts, story arc is nice, pace between story ans sexy times is good, making for a very fun experience! This is a game I would pay for!

It's rare to see a futa games with an intense plot and intrigue.

Awesome game with a great storyline. Mc(futa) has a completely different personality, both a strong woman and a masculine character, this one is really very nice.

The sex scenes are quite normal, I would say that the graphics look like the old days, but the renderings are really very good, there is nothing to complain about, there is no animation, but partly it is there, at least for that it is worth thanking. There are very few futa-games with such intense plot and scenes. the game deserves more attention

The game kinda meh but the actual story and setting is extremely boring and dumb... It feels something just like grandma's house or something like that where LIs just drop thier panties for the mc just because they're the LIs and for no other discernable reason other than the mc is trying to fuck them, the only difference between the other games and this one being that the mc here is a Futa instead of a guy and other guys also get fucked here... Everyone other than the MC is so hilariously and absurdly dumb and useless that it's extremely boring and dumb, there's no excitement in the story... And if feels like to distract from this there's a poorly thought out murder mystery being forced in the story...

This is a really well done game. Even setting aside the good porn, there is a really good story being fleshed out here.

Most of the models are gorgeous, and even the eye movements make sense in conversation. Jade is superhot, and so are most of the women. I like that you can pick and choose who you have a relationship with.

I've said yes to most, but It's nice to have a choice.

Another thing I really love is that the Dev has a real understanding of what it means to be Alpha. Too many Devs think blackmail and trickery are Alpha qualities. They are dominance moves, in the vein of BDSM, but not really Alpha. Not Jade. She doesn't need to blackmail anyone, and even says so when someone asks her if she intends to do so.

Kudos to the Dev for a really good porn game that is also telling an interesting and engaging story.

I'm really surprised that this is the dev's first game. The writing is excellent, the story and characters are interesting, the murder mystery keeps me engaged and the subtle humour fits in well without drifting off into the comedy genre.

One thing that really sticks out is the care the dev puts into emotional displays. The characters visibly display emotions, often in subtle ways, which makes them come alive and appear to be more realistic than what you see in most other projects despite the rendering engine not being the most modern piece of technology. The way the dev often uses automatically playing sequences of several renders to display the character's reactions to events and each other really makes the scenes come alive. I'll take this over generic high-resolution renders using standard expressions every time.

Sex scenes are hot, and if you are into D/s play, polyamory and netori you will get your fair share. This is, however, not just a porn game. It really is an erotic novel that puts the story first.

As for choices, this game is more of a kinetic novel that allows you to opt out of the various character's story lines and to chose if you want to risk knocking up your partners, which is totally fine by me. Each choice comes with the neccessary info if a character's story line will include fetishes like sissification, which is highly commendable.

If you like interesting stories with a strong and dominant trans/futa MC that offer more than just sex scenes for a quick wank than this game is for you.

Binary choices game with poor renders and low amount of content. For an over 4 GB game I expected much more but sadly it has nothing interesting to offer. It's your average porn with below average sex scenes and graphics. Goes on my ignore list.

It's a great game. The main character is well worked out. The picture is good, the dialogues are cool. The presence of the Russian language is very encouraging. The variety of love interests is impressive.
