Yeah it's definitely not perfect, some scenes are too quick that I'll look at some point.

Problem is, some scenes have 90 renders which means it's smoother and easier to gauge the framerate, others have 10 or 17, or 35 so its about finding a balance where the video doesn't look choppy, and where it isn't too fast

First video has 17 frames, second has 90. Both being played at 60fps. Anything that I couldn't render at 60fps, has been interpolated to 60fps

To be honest, the primary objective with this mod was to remove the hitches when skipping seen text, Iris' flashback was the worst for it. The option to skip the Mel and Emily flashbacks were just a bonus feature I added and didn't want to go back and remove. I wanted to do one for Iris, but intertwining (get it) it with whether you're on Lexi's path is a bit too much for me with RenPy atm

No worries.

It's a big improvement over the previous versions which would sometimes crash the game.

Hopefully Nyx will make the renders for the lewd and sex scenes in her redos a lot more consistent and with more renders so that your fixes can work better.

I do see what you mean about the difficulties in finding a balance. Layla revealing her vagina to the MC before they have sex feels a tad too fast. And also the first time he penetrates her.

Will be the last update in the next couple of days, feel free to leave any feedback for any scenes and I'll have a look.

A quick note on compatibility with an update approaching in the next 2-3 months. Due to how the mod is implemented, there a few factors that will determine compatibility.

TL;DR - We have to wait and see.

How the mod is implemented:
The magic happens in one file called animate.rpy. In the vanilla file, each individual frame of the animation is paired with the frametime (basically how long the game displays the frame, before moving on). In this mod, it is replaced by a line such as the following which tells the game to play a video file instead.

This approach is cleaner, runs better (especially when skipping text), and dramatically reduces code size (from ~18,000 lines to 484). Each episode script is also updated to call these video files — about 252 lines total.

Future Compatablity:
Until Nyx releases Chapter 14, we won't know how much work is required. If there is no animations in Chapter 14, and no amendments to episodes 1-13, then there should be problems using this mod. If there are animations present, but no amendments to past episodes, it will be a case of converting the new animations into the .webm format, then plugging the animations into the new script. If past episodes are amended, then it will require the scripts to be amended again. Basically, we don't know until we know what's in the update.

Recommendation:
Keep both a vanilla and a modded install. Play Chapter 14 on the vanilla version first. If updates are needed, they should only take a day or two — depending on real-life commitments — and I’ll post an update when the time comes.

So I like using Scrappy's WT Mod and wanted to make use of this video mod but the episode files in the video mod overwrote Scrappy's WT stuff. I went through and merged the video changes into Scrappy's WT Mod using Notepad++ Compareplus tool. I haven't fully tested this out, but the few tests I have run, everything seems to be working well and the new videos are correctly being utilized. If anyone wants to give it a shot and let me know if it's broken or anything, that'd be great. I don't know if I will maintain this or not, but again it was just simple comparison tool in notepad++ and replacing the default show lines with the video mod scene lines. It does still work perfectly with Koga's Cheat mod as well. Here's a link to the virustotal scan if anyone is concerned about it:

some sex animations are moving way too fast, like the one in the gym with Nikki, and some of none-sex ones too, like the Lexi shower kiss. Ain't complaining just for future reference. Overall (not counting the very fast ones) in my view a 10-15% speed reduction would put them in the sweet-spot probably.
Edit: Yeah gonna put this one on the backburner, too many animations are way too fast for my liking, uncanny valley or what you call it. If people fucked at that rate their privates would catch on fire Will check back later for improvements.

Quick update, mostly done. Have Erynn, Nikki and the misc scenes (John getting punched, cuntface's sister, Haley etc) left to do.

Episode 15 shouldn't be as long as I won't have to remake everything again, just the scripts and if say Episode 4 gets a remaster.

Here's a preview from every chapter. Please note some animations are still too fast, I'm working with what I have, if a frame has 12 images, no amount of AI upscaling will make it look good.
