I don't know why people are complaining about the proportions, feels like the wrong thing to rag on. There's so many 3d games with basic-ass realistic boring bodies, and this is one of the few that gives us twitter porn artist anatomy but still keeps the character looking relatively hot rather than uncanny as hell. For that I can give this game credit.

But still, just seeing the sample gifs I'm very disappointed with the lack of weight and mass the animations have, there's no movement beyond the bare essentials so it's not much better than two action figures clacking together. And the faces still kinda give me the creeps, something is off with their eyes and cheeks and it gives me, eugh, lovedoll vibes.

Edit: I played the game, even with yesterday's update it's the same underwhelming animation that's in the sample gifs. You gotta have jiggle, you gotta have mass, you can't have characters built like this and then have them be completely stiff.

Hey folks, I am still alive and monitoring the thread for feedback. I’m sorry if it’s been a bit late, I’ve just been a bit caught up with life of late and only recently have managed to find some space and time to respond to the thread and feedback.

It seems that the jiggle physics are a very much requested feature so far, I do have access to this from other projects but most of the animations in this version are just the older keyframe animations where all physics was simulated, which I believe is where all the criticism about things appearing ‘stiff’ may be coming from because of the keyframe simulated physics. Real-time physics simulation can be integrated in theory but will require some readjustments, and unfortunately I’m not in front of my work pc at the moment so any fairly substantial change might make things more difficult to implement for the time being. It is theoretically possible though, and since it is the most requested feature aside from the animations themselves, I will take a look at that at the next available opportunity I have to work on this.

I have no idea what you mean by this, can you please elaborate? The cursor being locked as in locked into what exactly, the window?

I think this is an excellent post and a decent review was left by you as well I felt, although I think the time for play would vary from person to person honestly, it’s a basic sex sim with a bit of dialogue functionality so I think from person to person that may vary a little, especially considering the demo version is lacking the same features as the full version.

For the faces, the lighting could be affecting models in peculiar ways, making the expressions appear staunched, could be worth looking into somepoint. Beyond that maybe it’s a subjective taste thing. Out of respect of the original modellers design though, I don’t feel like I want to adjust the models too much though in all honesty.

As stated near the top of this post, the physics in this game, are as of this moment, currently simulated, and thus won’t appear to be as vivid as real-time physics, but since this has been a consideration of mine and others now it would be worth me investigating for a future update.


Any other critiques, feedback or suggestions are as always welcome. And using a similar post/review format provided by SomeGuyNamedKi - would actually provide some very decent and insightful feedback as well, even if the review is mostly critical.

For the time being, I’m currently off on a bit of a sabbatical so I’m not sure when I’ll next have a chance to get back on the big screen, so for anyone waiting it might be worth extending a bit of Patience until I can get these requested changes out online.

Today I have released a hotfix for various issues others ITT and myself had found - following update from this one will be me working on adding jiggle physics etc, so will be more of a feature update.



Interview With April [Hotfix] 1.001

This is just a quick hotfix update before the main update coming up.

The following update after this one will be a feature update and should AT LEAST include some portion/attempted rigging of physics for the various jiggly areas that currently do not jiggle without keyframe manipulation in all current versions of the game.

Changelog:

  • Cursor is now locked to the confines of the game window
  • Lighting changes in menu scene and Cellar scene
  • Removed Duplicate Resolutions from resolution dropdown list and also added screen refresh rates (!!!)
  • Fixed Texture problems with certain models

Content update including Physics, a few new features a UI improvement and more..

UI

  • Updated Model Swapper Buttons/UI to make it more intuitive and user friendly
  • Changed Dialogue Visual UI to be more transparent

GENERAL

FIXES

  • Fixed Charlie's legs being invisible when you take off her trousers in the wardrobe individually
  • If Cancelling Ejaculation early, the speed toggle would be frozen. This has since been fixed.
  • Other fixes that I can't quite remember honestly
QoL

  • When opening the settings menu through the game menu and then closing the game menu, the settings menu will now close itself as well.
KNOWN ISSUES & WORKAROUNDS

  • Some hidden process causes the cursor to be hidden when loading in through story mode until the mouse button is pressed after a certain interval. Now the hidden process is overridden after a brief moment and the cursor will be automatically revealed, but I'm still in the process of finding out the hidden process.
  • As of right now, arriving early creates some sort of conflict with the model swapper/wardrobe, it seems you can't use the wardrobe function if you enter into early mode. There will likely be a hotfix for this and other bugs (if any) in the next update.
  • The physics is very sensitive to the frame rate and If the frame rate is too low on your game, the physics may start bugging out. If you experience this yourself, you can combat this by lowering the quality settings of the game.
  • DLSITE link will now redirect to URL of game page when active, however:
*I AM CURRENTLY IN THE PROCESS OF REGISTERING THE GAME ON DLSITE SO THE IN GAME LINK WILL REDIRECT TO AN INACTIVE PAGE UNTIL THAT PROCESS HAS BEEN COMPLETED*

(the registration of the game requires a moderator to oversee and make sure it is suitable under japanese law, so the game on the storefront will include censorship of genitalia as per Japanese Law.)




Any further updates will probably be further down the line, be it additional content or bug fixes. Feedback always welcome

Interview with April? I rather interview her chair instead. How that thing is standing is a mystery that needs solving.
