No, I'm a guy who watched the show and read some of the comics, and everybody fucking hates the show adaptation (who they "diversified" for "reasons"). Show reviewers, other viewers, reaction people, you name it. I have yet to meet or speak to a single person that likes the show version. The only reason I didn't say "everybody" and left it at 90% is I'm assuming there are at least some people out there without taste.
The comic version is better, although not by that much, but she's a slightly deeper character. She just comes off as an annoying cunt in the show.
now with the new season finished i can say that i kinda like the adaptation of the show.
I sure wasnt found of it at saison 1, the character of amber gave me hives, and got a speed narration problem for me .
Now it changed for me ,i think the girl and the relation they do have together make him grow, make him realize how it goes;how all the teenagers try to understand the world and themself is well fledge in my opinion .
I really really loved Invincible as comics but for some devellopment i would hope it was made better ,
.Mark story is ,for me ,all about finding his place in this world ;What you want and what you can.She have a good role to play in all that in the TVSHOW and a wellmade wharacter that we lacked in the original .as it goes the show got his problemes but i do think that with times its getting better and better and if its stay like this it will get better than the comics.
It will for me make his fated relattion even better .
and about diversity ,i was "why the fuck" at first cause i hated the character but as it goes, she does have a role ,a pivotal one even ,to the developpement of mark ;the author realized thats in his initial released of the comics he didnt get enough diversity for his taste so he made her black and its ok .
the season 2 of the show was pretty much awesome and finale was great .
I diDnt know adaptaion was this "hated" to be honest because even with all the bad point you can find in it ,it have all the premise to be better than the comics .
