Happy Holidays, everyone!
Instead of dropping a special render this time, I thought I'd share a free dev note with you all. For those new here, these notes are my way of keeping you updated on how development is going and what’s coming next.
The past couple of days have been a little slower on my end. I've been spending time with friends and family, enjoying a few drinks and this short break before returning to my usual routine. For me, working on this game has become part of my everyday life, so stepping back for a short break felt refreshing and gave me the energy to continue pushing forward.
Now let’s talk about the game itself.
Development Status
I have reworked a significant portion of the script for Part 2. Originally, Chapter 1 was intended to be released as a single piece rather than split into two parts. Looking back, the scenes in Part 1 ended up being much longer and more detailed compared to what we currently have in Part 2. Because of that, I decided to revisit the material and make improvements. Some scenes have been remade with better lighting, while others that felt unnecessary were removed and replaced with stronger, more engaging content.
This rework has also led me to add new scenes, which naturally extends the development time. Even with the additional work, my current estimate for release remains mid-January. That means we are looking at roughly two weeks from now, provided everything continues smoothly.
Game Direction
I want to take a moment to talk about the overall direction of the game. After some reflection, I decided to move away from the original idea of having "three main girls" as the central focus. While it sounded interesting at first, I realized that building three separate main story branches based entirely on the player's choices toward them would essentially mean creating three different versions of the game at the same time. That approach felt unnecessarily complicated and would slow down development without adding much to the experience.
Instead, I will be focusing on crafting one strong, cohesive main story. Within that framework, players will still have plenty of influence over certain scenes and interactions. This change also opens the door to introducing more potential love interests along the way. Rather than being limited to three main characters, you will have the freedom to decide who you want to pursue romantically. And yes, you can even explore multiple romances at once.
I want to thank everyone for their support, especially those who have been helping the game financially, emotionally, and through words of encouragement. Your continued support truly means a lot to me. Every bit of it keeps me motivated, and I am excited to share more with you very soon. Once again, happy holidays to all of you.
