Hi, ntr hypocrite here.

I'll say if you like or dislike ntr, please keep the hate to yourself since I'm making this post out sheer curiosity. Forgive my ignorance since I stop being an active member between 2019 to 2021, so I don't know what genre/fetish was trending. I do know in the early stages of this website incest was popular, but recently I have noticed an increasingly amount of ntr games coming out of the woodwork from ranging from hangover cat (apblu), bootyprofessor (girlfriend tapes). etc to more recent dreammaker (inside ava), gilga games (amy's ecstasy). no try studio (the king of summer), etc. Just making an observation, I could also add games, that I recently noticed that have ntr tags added after being developed, but those are for another rodeo.

Anyways, does anybody think that ntr games are increasing in numbers? do you think that ntr games eventually will slow down, and another fetish is going to overthrone it? if so, what fetish will take over?

Without getting into the NTR argument, I do think that fetishes in porn have fashions and trends. I have recently downloaded a few thousand "golden age" porn books (70s - 80s) and you'll find almost no Impregnation or NTR fetishes, for example, but going through them makes you think that very few women back in the day didn't fuck their dogs (and that's probably since they were too busy with their donkeys). Incest, however, was popular then as it is now.

Bottom line: fetish popularity does ebb and flow IMHO.

I don't think that NTR became a popular thing among game developers but rather the other way around: game development became an interest of NTR players.

Looking from the perspective of someone who likes NTR, the dissatisfaction is there:
- mixed bag of fetishes that might not be what you're really looking for (cheating, swinging, sharing, netorare, netorase, netori, etc)
- games tagged with ntr just to appease the community because of 1 or 2 scenes and not the primary focus of the game.
- interesting games being japanese only without any translations

With all of that, it is not difficult to see someone being like "fuck it, I'll make my own ntr game then".

When was the last time you thought: "Man there aren't any good incest harem games out there to my liking, maybe I should make one myself to cater to my specific needs" ?

I do agree with that, as someone who likes to play games where the mc steal girls (make fun of me all you want), I do find a bit annoying trying to find what game is pure ntr and which isn't for example "a town uncovered" had a story line where you get ntr if you don't help the bully (I believed it got taken down due to fan feedback), another one and I don't know if it can be classified as ntr, but you essentially find your mom having sex with your dad, but at the end of the thing you still get with the mom. "take over" also have ntr and I could be wrong (haven't play the game in a long sometime) but the concept of sharing isn't really ntr if you are willingly letting your woman be free use to any man.Lastly "love and sex: second base" (another game I haven't play in a long time) from what I know if you don't pursue x female you get "ntr" that doesn't make sense to me unless you try to go for a harem, then it'll make sense, but overall there is no really ntr, just missed opportunities.

325 pages if you remove abandonned/onhold (ongoing+ completed)
Netorare tag = 979 (33 pages)
747 if you count ongoing+ completed only
This is less than 10% of the full archive
If you factor only the last 6 months 11/25 pages of Netorare tagged ongoing/completed have been updated since then.
On general archive 101 pages out of 325 have been updated since the last 6 months.

So overall I would agree with you roughly 42% of all NTR games on this site have been active for the last 6 months while overall games ratio is around 30%.

So while NTR itself may not gain a lot of ground compared to the overall medium, it is more active in the grand scheme of things.

Female protagonist VN and Games tend to forego the idea that of Netorare as you control the woman who make the decision instead of MC whose action my divert the woman toward toward another man.

Virtually all Female protagonist game have clear cheating toward FeMC's initial love interest (she is almost always either married or fianced or in long term relationship at the start) But for some reason because the VN start with YOU ARE THE WOMAN the Anti-NTR crew don't seem to care she's getting dicked by everyone. This makes me think those people either don't play FeMC VN or it's really all about perception.

I myself do not project myself into the MC of Any VN so I don't feel the jealousy NTR seem to build in their mind. Plenty of VN don't have some of those lesser tags. Cheating is not as much clear on female protagonist VN than they are on Male Harem game. Those 4 examples among a lot of them are just the easier one I found in 5 minutes.
