Since yesterday I get a 403 error message when trying to access dlsite. Any thoughts what this might be?

Same here. As far as I could see the problem only applies to Germany. There is a thread on the official DLsite english Reddit.
May have been a panic reaction which would suck because I left a good amount of money on that site - (no not all for them p0rn). Can't access ANYTHING aside from my library but downloading is also not happening now from there. Ci-en funnily still works, probably because you can't buy anything there?
Anyway I opened a ticket through their troubleshooting thingie, got the Link to that in the Reddit thread.

The panic reaction may or may not because of "die Medienanstalten" that try to force pretty hefty age verification methods down our throats. Personally I don't have any interest in having to sent biometric information to every shop that sells adult content. That is a bit crazy imo. But it seems they are trying to get that to be the norm. Always the crazy people at charge for stuff like that smh.

Yup, since Dlsite merged with Dlsite english it growed to a comftable solution to buy stuff, be it porn or not.

Would a VPN work to bypass this? Though I would hate to pay for an additional service just to access some sites. I doubt that dlsite will be the only one.

Unfortunately for me it's also the case that I can no longer access it, even though I was told to try with Crome, Safari or Edge, nothing worked. The same thing happened with the Dlsite.Next app and I can no longer access my content today.

And it doesn’t just affect Germany, but all of Europe, because “several countries are affected” on their side.

I can no longer access my library, it worked for 2 hours, as soon as you go to play.dlsite.com you immediately get to the page with "Error 403"

It's a shame that you have to resort to VPN for this reason until, with a bit of luck, a solution comes from DLsite.

Personally, I think it sucks. What can a normal adult do about the fact that little rascals are handed a tablet or smartphone as soon as they leave their mother's lap?

Instead of punishing the adults, they should rather make sure that little diaper poopers who can't count to three don't play Fortnite or hang out on the Internet. If what people are currently speculate is correct, it's the dumbest move ever . They added multiple languages, including severals spoken in Europe, only to shut out those countries without a warning to the customers?

They will only achieve a high amount of money loss. Not only can't those shut out ex-customers, legaly, buy stuff from them, they literally force them to turn to pirate material . . . well maybe not realy since you can still us a VPN but then you would break the law . . . so why pay money for something that is ilegal . . .

And if children go there, you can only watch the games but not play them, you have to buy it or download it from other sites *cough*

I support the developers, if I like a game I buy it, but unfortunately it's no longer possible like that

Yepp VPNs work afaik but you'll have to live with piss poor download speed. Not sure but I think the browsers Opera GX and Tor have inbuilt VPNs. Some said you can also use a Proxy with some light googling but doesn't change the fact, that they shit the bed with the region block.

Apparently it is DLsite's reaction to the strict age-verification for adult material which is a must-do in some europa countries, Germany is one of them. Those countries tried to enforce a more strict system on DLsite but they decided against it and instead blocked those countries.

And before someone comes around now and bash any europien country, some US states are also on, or soon to be, the block list.

I tried the Proton VPN and it works total ok in free version. Just as a suggestion for people looking for a good VPN.

yes, but how long will it work well with VPN? Until they also block VPN for their site in 1-2 years


It's sad that only Germany is affected.

You can also see that you can no longer pay with Paypal, apparently the problem is still being solved. There has been no news about it for 2 weeks, they block it so much.
