i used cracked rpgm mv and cracked daz 3d asset to make my game. do f95 site and patreon allowed me to post my games in their site ? (im a newbie game dev)
Do you really think the RPGM MV creator is stupid? He can find out whether you created the game through the purchased version or a cracked version within 5 minutes as soon as your game comes into his hands. First, he will ask you to delete the game. If you don't, prepare yourself for the consequences, which won't be very nice, and I don't think this is a problem you want to deal with in your life because even if you have 10 lawyers behind you, you will lose. He would be stupid if he allowed someone to rob him of €80.

So if I were you, I wouldn't do it.

It wasn't sarcasm; I meant it.

Just read the official statements of the developer, who often warned people not to try such a thing. I honestly don't care if some random "Müptezel Emo" comes here to laugh... The fact remains that there are people who paid for it over time because they thought that if they lived on the other side of the planet, nothing could happen to them and no one would solve it. It's the same with interactive licenses... They don't really care if you own it; it's about the money. The prices for these things are high, and even you, if you were in their place, wouldn't allow someone to use it for free (I don't know what you're doing; you probably don't need interactive licenses; I just gave it as an example). The same is true for music for which you do not have a license (even royalty-free music is not truly free)...

However, if you decide to do it, it also depends a lot on who will deal with it in the future and how. For example, when Dr.PinkCake got into trouble due to music licenses (which he did not own), it was resolved in the best way possible - they only asked him to remove the specific music. But in reality, it could have ended much worse...

It's up to you. You asked, and I wrote my opinion  Good Luck

I'm pretty sure The Friday Prophets initially allowed the rights but Being A Dik blew up so much that they didn't appreciate the exposure from an adult visual novel game. It's kind of petty but they are probably an old school breed that thinks associating with a popular sex project is selling out and ruins their brand.

Anyway I personally wouldn't risk using cracked software or assets for long if you are generating revenue. I can understand if you want to test it out, maybe trial it until your experience improves but once you release anything you're taking a huge risk. As a musician producer I know someone from work who got royally screwed for using a cracked version of a vst plugin. How screwed you ask? About $50,000! His song blew up on the radio here and was using a signature instrument sound that he didn't own a licence for.

Dr. PinkCake used music that was marked as royalty-free or CC-BY licensed (that's what he said), but probably didn't meet the conditions that the author of that music demanded, and PK ignored them. And you're right... It's likely that if the game hadn't done so well, they wouldn't have addressed it.

But it doesn't matter much. Even so, I still don't understand why someone who has 15,000 patrons has a problem buying a license that would cost him 150 euros. Compared to what he can earn, this is a completely negligible amount.

It was not about piracy.
It was about "NC-17", "which is if your game is directly related to porn, drugs, violence etc..."
Most of royalty-free sites are not allowing this kind of things, because artists are basically don't want be known in some porn game.
Which is not hard to understand.

If your question is "Can I upload it to f95zone and patreon if I used cracked software?" Well...yes. You can. Technically, you can do anything. You can go to your neighbors and play bongos on their ass while they're doing yoga.

I think what you're asking though is "Is my work protected if I upload it to f95zone and patreon?" That's a completely different question. F95zone may not care, but patreon most certainly do. And if they read this forum and saw you saying you used cracked software; they'll probably tell the software creators just to cover their own liability issues and then proceed to ream you in the ass. If you're deadset on doing it, then do it. Nobody here is a lawyer who can absolve you of any legalities.
