Hi there. I'm looking for tutorials and tools for 2D Character Creation. What I mean is building a system like HHS+'s PaperDoll, Porn Empire's characters etc. Should be relatively easy to implement dress-up, hair styles, scaling body parts and so on. I understand that it is almost possible to implement this in any enviroment, but I prefer lesser workload. So, if you know any tutorial, tool or free assets to make it happen, please share. Suggestion are good too.

I don't know much about creating 2d characters, but I highly suggest downloading Gimp. It's Photoshop's free cousin and you can really do a lot with it.

I'm on Debian and I am familiar with GIMP, Inkscape, Krita etc. Problem is that I haven't been drawing for 5 years or so. I even tried using Blender to make bodies and then edit them to look like 2D. That's proved to be hard work too.

Have you seen ? Some good paper-doll-style images and clothes there. Currently it's heavily biased towards girls from Harry Potter, but the art is quite good.
