I feel it's just about right. Blatantly disruptive and inflammatory shit gets taken care of, most of the rest is left alone or dealt with through warnings. That's really all that's needed. Any more and it would start driving people away and stir up a lot of unnecessary animosity.

While I also prefer to see constructive criticism, I got to say it reeks of self-entitlement to try and demand it from everyone in order for them to deserve having a voice. Usually I can tell if a post is worth wasting time on within the first few seconds of scanning through it. It's a skill anyone can pick up with experience; it becomes second nature ignoring such posts. If you're really worried about wasting your time, maybe don't spend so much of it on forums in the first place. >.<

I'm not here since long but didn't see much about it, I think I remember some warnings about ntr, so it's probably "just about right", although I don't look much into games thread anymore beside a little comment if I like the game.

My only complains are when there is a spam of comments like "female protagonist !!!", "ntr !!!", "rpgm !!!",next update ???", "android port ???", these get old and annoying quick.

I believe it is pretty good the way it is. I never get involved in any trash posting, and I appreciate when they get removed from a thread. More importantly, I get annoyed when members go off topic and I don't want to have to wade through their personal discussions made in public. It's the type of thing that doesn't often get cleaned up in other forums, so I appreciate it here.

Sometimes the trash posting can be beneficial. There is a game on here I think the renders are pretty good, and to me it seems like the dev puts a lot of work in them. A lot of the posts in the thread were complaining about the script being in "Engrish" and unplayable. I got a wild hair and decided to try and make a better English script for the game to try and make it more enjoyable for the people checking it out.

The genres in the game aren't all my cup of tea and I'm sure this comes through in the rewrite I did. As all the trash talk inspired me to try a rewrite, that same trash talk has me worried some of them might start to criticize the rewrite I did. I'm not a writer by any stretch, nor have I done this before, but I wanted to try and make it so the people playing would look at the work the dev put in the game instead of the horrible script that was in it.

If the mods would have "cleaned up" the thread I would've probably never considered the rewrite, so it can be a double edged sword in a sense.

constructive criticism is perfectly fine. If someone just posts " This game sucks" and gives no reasoning or actual critique there's no point to it other then pointing out to me that person is passive-aggressive. That is why I do all the interacting on F95 now as Ptolemy was taking things a little too personally and decided to leave F95 but he's the writer so I can see his point too. also native English speaker myself. I don't think sarcasm translates to well with him. I would say on F95 things have gotten calmer and a bit friendlier. I've always seen this site as a place to get away from shit. Get enough of that IRL.

The mods here do a great job. People argue and fight over the dumbest things (myself included) and they monitor the discord as well. I've seen some really fucked up stuff posted in the forums, and when you have issues or questions they are always there to help.

its not perfect but i voted just about right. my biggest problem is when 3-4 people take it too far (and keep going at it after a mod has warned them) which leads to dozens of deleted comments, including ones which are okay.
there is a lot of off topic stuff but im fine with it because this place isnt simply for downloading a game and crying for a walkthrough. i love the community and i like reading 2 pages of nothing but shitposting.

This is a site for adult content where deviants of all kinds gather.
Just because some of them are made staff doesn't mean they've stopped being deviants.

Breaking the rules here is like playing the porn version of russian roulette: one in six shots gets you laid, the other five get you fucked.

Someone seemed to have misread my comment on Ptolemy leaving F95 between his IRL job, Writing, Co-writing and making renders for a few games. He does not have the time to engage on F95. as I have said before you can reach him on our Discord most of the time. So as the person with the freest time I stepped up.

But yeah, obviously for those of you who would like threads to become less shitfests, I can't emphasize how important it actually is to REPORT THINGS and not just wait around hoping one of us see it.

The reality is, we literally have eighteen mods/staff for a forum of over a million users, and 3000+ game topics(and not even counting the other forum topics)

It isn't a matter of indifference, but it is going to be physically impossible for us to scour every topic and delete stuff that sucks within a few hour or so period(on top of uploading games/making new game topics, fixing user account issues, etc etc) unless someone hits the report button and points it out to us.

Have you considered that the forum is relatively peaceful and discussions don't get out of hand because the mods actually do a good job? I've only been hanging around here for a little over a year and I've seen some 'discussions' get out of hand and then a mod has stepped in, sorted the thread, chastised the offenders and it's over. You'll have the odd churlish remark but as long as nothing devolves into an argument again it's all left relatively alone. To me that seems like just the right amount of involvement and not heavy handed.

Admittedly there are the age old arguments that some will enter into and everyone will eventually jump on their preferred bandwagon if they're able to, so those arguments are often dealt with swiftly. But that's just wise IMHO.

Over just the last year I've seen a vast improvement to the Moderation on the site as a whole. Also seen preventative Moderation on things anyone with a brain can see are going to devolve fast. Keep up the good work
