I am having a similar issue. It looks like the game is trying to connect to steam, but without success. In my case, Steam is completely absent on the computer.
You can find your logs in AppData\LocalLow\Studio Ginkgo\ISEKAI FRONTLINE\Player.log

Update: I found the solution. Just replaced steam_api64.dll with old one from version 1.0 :WeSmart:
Maybe it's not completely proper, but works fine (as I can see).
Location of the file: *Game Folder*\ISEKAI FRONTLINE_Data\Plugins\x86_64

I understand correctly that the latest update includes only one scene with the final boss? If so, then I am very upset with this update.

It also clearly states that it focuses on the person cheated on, which this game does not.

If anyone still isn't convinced it's AI (assisted, at the very least), just look at the white hair girl's earring - it's fucking floating.

Some other obvious tells are the strap between her top and her skirt, how the gun is being "held" considering her jacket's sleeve, that her skirt has a curtain thing in the front (pleated skirt in front, pencil skirt on side), etc. No artist of that skill level would make such nonsensical mistakes.
