Ren'Py - Completed - Island of Lust [v1.0 .4 Extra] [Art of Lust]

Wow, this dev made two previous games that were really good, except they were disjointed & clumsy without a WT. He managed to fix that one problem with this game which had very clear tips if you where stuck....

However, he forgot to make the story good! The characters models were maybe the best of his 3 games, but super boring story; you literally bring up H scenes with your sex slave whenever you want....I could never get into that since you didn't have to put in any real work. Yawn

Review for v1.0 .4 Extra Enabled Skip Rollback

Story 3.5/5: The ending feels like it was done in a rush just to mark the game as complete. Story is simple, you go to an island by mistake and to not get beheaded you should train only 1 slave into rank S+. Most of the story is your interact with the city, that's where you learn skills to teach your slave.


Gameplay 3.5/5: If it wasn't for the "skip mini game" feature, the mini games would be a deal breaker for me. It's cool and I almost know how to bypass them all, but it is too long and the reward is too little I will seriously get bored with it and close the game immediately at some point. But thankfully you can skip them all and take the full reward so it is not a big deal now.

Sounds 4/5: The screaming is annoying, especially at the beginning, but other than that, the sound effects are good.

Porn and graphics 5/5: The graphics are good and every scene in it you can change the viewing angle, although there are many games that implement this feature, but I consider it a positive thing.

For porn, you only have one slave until the end of the game. Each merchant in the city has a scene, and they are 6, and additional scenes with the queen’s slave, the gatekeeper, and the fairy in the forest, it would be a total of 10 of whom you can have sex with.

There is ntr, but it is avoidable and only occur at the end of the game if your character is strong enough to beat the shit of him.

Tl; dr: The game is good and easy if you're experienced with this slave game genre, otherwise you might need to read a little bit hints you get as books from the library.

2 stars for good art.

Game itself is barely playable.

1 - you are always on timer. I mean real-time timer, that keps going pretty fast when you read the dialogs or choosing what to do next. Get distracted a bit and watch yourself and your slave suffer from starvation.

2 - minigames are insane.
- cleaning the weeds in the garden, without clarification, how they look like.
- working in a tavern with a ton of different dishes to serve. Three menus and one of them is scrollable, because there is too many items to choose from. And yeah, your time is limited.
- combat skill trainig - memorize 7 moves in a row. thats alot.

3 - You should teach your slave some skills. But there is nowhere to learn them yourself. So I had two options: order slave to plasure me - she responds that she doesnt know how to doit, and if I try to teach her - she responds that knows it better. WTF?

4 - here is a ton of hidden stats. Love\lust\obedience etc. Good luck guessing them and planning your actions.

I know there is a guide somewhere in the forum, which is long enough to make me bored with reading.

IMO, if dev wanted me to play this game - he should have made better hints inside the game itself. And add an option to turn off all the annoying timers.

It's very good. I must say, I hate the MC's face, IDK why. The npcs are somehat interesting and diverse, the main story line was good and gameplay wise is not bad either, animatios are good. Solid 8/10

Decent but not too enjoyable to play, in my opinion. The gameplay consists of doing various quests and activities so you can level up your skills so that you can teach your slave those same skills. Felt somewhat grindy and isn't very satisfying, so I had to give it two stars.

This is a beautiful game.
The authors are great artists for both images and videos. I have rarely seen renderings so beautiful.
The game mechanics are also nice. I have not tried the "nasty" approach, I decided to be the nice master and it played out nicely and steadily.

It was fun to play this game.
The animations and graphics are nicely designed.
The trainer feature is varied and the overall context is coherent.

A few things that are not quite as successful, unfortunately:

• The characters look very static in the animations in places. Quality over quantity might have made more sense here. So invest more time in a single animation, instead of presenting many half-finished.
• The ending is... well... not exciting.

With a little more time invested in story and animation, this would have been a real gem.
But all in all, I liked it. Good work. Thanks.

This game is already finished. It has really nice graphics. The renders are great looking. The story and concept of the game is a bit simplier. It is really pitty, that such game is not bigger, because it would definetely deserve it.

Great animations, interesting idea. But the game itself is quite grindy, and extremely linear.
Loved the fairy "puzzle", silly, but fun. And this can be said about the majority of the content in this game.
Writing could be improved on.
Overall, the game is passable.

characters: 2/5 I had the impression that we are made to believe in diversity with different heights and hair colors when in reality the characters all look a little alike.
And if you don't like boobs that are way too big then move on, there aren't any decent ones here!

sex scene: 3/5 We remain a little on our hunger I find, then it totally lacks dialogues

renders: 5/5 The game is really beautiful

animation: 5/5 absolutely stunning

sound: There is everything you need to please!

gameplay: 4/5 There are a lot of things to do, but no choice, then a lot of things are there only to add unnecessary difficulty or to add forced time (the filling gauge during certain scenes really annoyed me)

I would have given the game 4 stars if its ending wasn't so rushed.The game just...ended. Thinking about it, the game does have a lot of content, and yet, why do I feel betrayed?

The game opens really well with its setting, story, and characters. The gameplay might be confusing at first but honestly once I stopped obsessing about the real-time elements it was smooth and easy. I thought there were good training scenes with the main slavegirl and erotic scenes with other sidegirls on the map. I especially liked how the developer made the sidegirls relevant to the story by incorporating them into the slavegirl's group sex training.

However, despite all that, there was no climax. It was only when I got to the ending I realized that the prologue is the entire main story and after that (ie. from "New Game" onwards) is just a long list of side quests. It felt like I entered a pizzeria, got spagetti but didn't complain because it tasted delicious, then when I was expecting the pizza as the main dish, I was given the bill.

Game's pretty good. Very bare bones, has a simple story arc, and a good way to pass the time. The preparations of the food were a bit annoying, though. Wished there was a way to speed that up a bit, as well as to take off any order you got wrong.

The story and writing are fairly average — nothing groundbreaking — but if you’re a fan of fantasy settings, it’s definitely worth a try. The plot serves mostly as a backdrop to the gameplay and adult content rather than a deep narrative experience.

Gameplay
The sandbox gameplay is smooth and avoids excessive grinding, which is a welcome relief compared to many similar titles. The developer included in-game hints to guide progression, which work well early to mid-game. However, these hints become scarce in the late game, requiring players to explore and discover on their own. By then, seasoned players should be comfortable navigating the island’s secrets.

Mini-games are integrated but fully optional; they can be skipped or auto-won, a considerate feature for players who dislike repetitive tasks.

Technical Aspects
Built on the Ren'Py engine, the game runs mostly stable with minimal bugs. The rollback function can cause occasional crashes, especially if you skip large chunks of text, but autosaves help minimize progress loss. After a reload, the game continues normally, and problematic scenes rarely crash twice in a row if you avoid skipping.

Visuals & Animation
This is where Island of Lust truly shines. The artwork is high-quality and polished, with top-tier renders. Sex scenes feature fluid animations and multiple camera perspectives you can switch between. The character designs are excellent—especially the elf girls, witch, and tavern wench, who stand out as memorable NPCs.

Content & Replayability
While the core content is substantial, the ending feels rushed, and some NPCs (like the librarian and queen) suffer from underdeveloped storylines and limited interaction. Additional content updates focusing on these characters and a more fleshed-out conclusion would significantly elevate the game.

I only managed to achieve the second-best rank (S-) with the elf slave, so I might have missed some scenes by not reaching the top rank or exploring other routes like NTR in the end game.

Conclusion
Island of Lust is a well-crafted fantasy sandbox that offers hours of engaging content, great visuals, and solid gameplay mechanics. Despite a lackluster ending and a few shallow NPC arcs, it deserves a strong 4-star rating. With further updates addressing these gaps, it could easily become a 5-star title.

Ran into 3 major bugs during my playthrough.
First, using rollback during a bar scene kicks you out into the menu, losing all progress since the last manual save.
Second, scripting error keep appearing at the witch due to TypeErrors (list indices must be integers, not RevertableList)
Thirdly, stat progression of Dancing did not work at all, was permanently stuck on B rank, with no resolution.

The game itself is more of a sandbox concept. I was missing a story. Interactions with slaves are boring because she has no personality. I am also not a fan of the super manly amazon futa bodybuilders that this game heavily emphasizes. All characters are just... empty.

Gameplay is way too grindy without pressing skip button. Money earning takes forever esspecially the cooking timers where you just have to wait over and over. Management is tedious, why do I have to tell slave manually to go work, why can't it just be a schedule like other things?

Sound design is good, you have medieval music, sound effects, moans, etc.
Renders are good.

This is my first slave training game, if that was a thing, and I didn't think I would enjoy it as much as I did.
The gameplay seems overly complicated and a bit overwhelming at first, but once you get used to it, it's not much trouble I suppose, I played it with a cheating mod anyway, so I'm not the best judge on that part.
The story is rushed, and the ending is abrupt. This kind of premise could have been a much longer game if the dev wanted to, but it's not a fatal flaw as I see it, guess all good stories leave you wanting more anyway.

The renders are really good, although it seems like some of them has the same figure and breast size - not that I'm complaining! - but the only thing I didn't like is the same thing about the most of these games, almost all breasts seems fake, sometimes I feel I'm the only one who isn't into that.

Animations are a big rigid at parts, but they improve as you go along mostly, and the controls inside the sex scenes are always a nice touch, though I would have preferred it to be longer, but it had a good variety.

All in all, this game was a nice surprise for me, and I'm definitely looking forward to the dev's next work.

I like the game very much. Find the women great. the zenario the graphics. With more slaves and more ways to train them. More of the same 2.0. maybe in a new project. In any case great work. I hope we see much more from the developer.

The game was good. The animations were also good. I liked the story and teasing in the prologue. The game has two endings one is good and one is bad and you can also avoid ntr if you want. overall I liked the game very much.

What a nice niche game this is. Gorgeous models, top notch animation, pretty good amount of content, somewhat good gameplay. This game has inbuilt cheats to make ur game even easier. I myself finished this in a single sitting about 6-8 hrs at most. It also has in game walkthrough. So don't go looking for any walkthrough anywhere. This game could have more content like besides the FMC (slave) no other female character have more than one sex scene (They do have vaginal, oral, anal scenes separately but still). I found potential of this game to be higher in the initial and had high hopes. But it gradually became rushed. Not too rushed but fast enough to bring a question mark inside ur head. Overall a good game. 4.2/5 should have my score but gave 5 after a little thinking (reason unknown just felt like it). Thank you for sharing this game. Looking forward to the next game from the dev.

Nice little hidden gem here. The setting and the pacing fit perfectly. The renders and animations are top notch, even better than in other more popular games. Can't expect more updates and maybe more slaves to train?

it's a good little slave trainer game. story is good. walkthrough is present inside game so you won't have to swap between pdf and the game. Models are good. I really wanted to dominate the queen and impregnate few of them but alas all the wishes doesn't come true
