How's the progress so far?
(trying to hide) lol sorry yall, have a ton of stuff going on, got sick for a bit as well, made some good progress though. there is one little thing i cant get around yet, is this right here(see attachment), theres a new censor thing hes trying out i think, and i gotta say, this might be very difficult, or easy to fix, who knows. i deleted what i think is the sprite on the sheet, but it didnt do anything. and to find the ID path and cordinates to edit it could be a hassle. theres two new Material files with a bunch of code, might try to edit the properties one by one at one point. im gonna just leave it for now. this might be something new his trying so that we cant edit it in future projects lol i think, not sure yet. it could be just a simple code to switch from 0 to a 1 or vice versa and it could disable it. who knows. ive been stumped trying everything to remove it. im gonna edit the other two sheets right now, hopefully they dont have the same issue.

No matter what, please put your health first and take some rest. Other than that I am happy to see the progress:coffee:

, but its more loli centered like their first game, which is a damn shame. They absolutely struck gold with this game so to see them go back is a bit disappointing, especially since I think all loli shit is trash. On the bright side this time around there's multiple girls, but I personally think all the designs are pretty bad and it doesn't help that they're all lolis... (or maybe it's just 1 girl with customization options, they haven't said much yet)

The devs already struck gold on their first game. It was overwhelmingly popular and topped the dlsite rank sales before dlsite taken it down during loli controversy blown out 2 year ago. The sales of the 2nd game is pale in comparison to the first one. The return to the roots on their 4th games is encouraging, now that the controversies is little by little receding in JP stores. It's really a good news for all of us fans of the first games.

The devs know people will try to "reverse" the censor (they even post a blog post to discourage the attempt), so they intentionally make it harder to uncensor it. Not only graphically censor the main image but also obfuscating the codes. I hope you're succeed on reversing it. We need no censor on our games lol.

Sadly I think it's a necessity because japanese obscenity laws, otherwise some bad actors could say he's made it too easy to circumvent stuff and complain with the government.

Really? Well damn I knew loli shit sold well in Japan but to think it dwarfed the sales of the second game is crazy. Always knew I was in the minority when it comes to not being a fan of loli shit but seeing it ruin what could've been something amazing is very unfortunate. IVAV2 in terms of art quality and production stands as one of the best games I've played in recent memory, and at the very least I hope the next one isn't entirely loli as a big part of what made 2 so good was the fact that the main girl isn't a loli.

Why do so many people look forward to loli works? The fact is that there are many excellent big breast adult body games now, and everyone can choose what they like to play. However, there are almost no well-made loli games, and players who like this kind of games have no choice at all. This is why the first IVAV has not been surpassed until now.

The first games sold in hundreds of thousand copy (can't remember the exact number) and that's only on DLsite, not counting other stores.
There's only a handful really well made loli games out there, compared to so many really well made older/well-endowed woman games. Unfortunately the ones with high quality (which is, naturally, also sold really well) are also the ones get taken down abruptly during the loli crisis some years ago, which prompt most of the devs creating it to either hide/disband their company/circle or pivoting to older woman genre, like what ivav devs do right now. But the wind has slowly change now and some high quality loli games now begin to resurface again, and some devs that goes hiding are now making come back.

Funny thing is, not all loli games are taken down, some standard and low quality loli games are still sold. Only popular and well made loli games are taken down.

Well you're missing much if you think ivav2 is the best, there's many high quality non-loli 2D/3D simulation games out there...

True, because of ivav series popularity, it's in human nature that some people maybe angry and jealous of its success and try to take legal complain to made him placed in a very bad situation. So yeah the increased obfuscation is his method to mitigate that.

Not really? It was a definite improvement from the first game, but the girl not being a loli wasn't a plus, just a detail as far as the game is concerned. That it attracted a different kind of player is another thing.
EDIT: And as mentioned in a post before mine, good straight up loli games are rare. There are ones that have quirks, like a loli with big breasts, but straight up loli isn't done that much.

Call me crazy but hey man if the girl in my porn game isn't a child that's a plus in my book, or rather a necessity if you ask me. I'm not Entirely against loli stuff since sometimes you have media that portray them as petite women rather than actual children, but with this game I'm pretty sure that's not the case, even further proven by you saying "straight up loli isn't done much", because it's borderline if not outright pedo content. Shit sells well cause it's a niche in the market and `loli enjoyers` eat that shit up because they'll take anything that comes as close to actual ** as possible.

bro, it's a drawing, nobody is letting kids enter the chat
That said, I mentioned it, you also mentioned it, shit sold well because it's a niche that isn't catered to much. Nothing more. Obviously if you cater to a demographic, you get the numbers of said demographic. Would be like a scat game dev complaining about low numbers, because duh, it's a niche, but a small one.

I'm bad at zoomerisms, let me rephrase

into this.

Just noticed that I'm being dragged into off-topic, ending this here in case it all gets yeeted.

You're delusional if you think passive aggressively dismissing the concept of children being in pornography as just "Dude they're not even real kids" like that sounds any better for you. Fictional or not if you find that sort of thing hot it still reflects on you, and what does that say about your actual tastes in women? I'm not going to take this argument further since I am well aware I am in the minority when it comes to opinions on this topic, at least online anyways. I am all for civil discourse of censorship, but when it comes to discussing stuff that can lead to real life sexual predators you can't just dismiss it with a red herring.
