This is a review of a game stuck in perpetual limbo in most of its aspects. And by that I mean that if you weren't around for a year and you just now came to play its latest update, you 'd find out things haven't changed much since last time.
Our protagonist, is Jessica, a woman who keeps finding herself in spicy situations that may or may not involve her current boyfriend. You have the option to let her indulge in sexual escapades. The problem is that for the most part those escapades involve simple flirting, touching thighs, showing a bit of leg and maybe cock tease an old dude. Surely not the most titillating situations one can find in a porn game.
The only sub-plot that seems to have had some meaningful progression is her lesbian tryst with her slutty neighbor. It is implied that said neighbor will be her gateway to more spicy stuff like swinging, cheating or even cuckolding. But so far that progression is stuck in limbo too because most of what you 'll get is girl on girl scenes between the two. It seems that Jess has some repressed sexuality issues because the only other person she seems interested to get romantically involved with, is also a cute waitress girl. Just come out of the closet already!
The game's supposed main plot is a journalist investigation that, unsurprisingly, is also stuck in limbo. During said investigation Jess interacts with various males and proceeds to rub on them a lot. No, seriously, touching and rubbing on bulges seems to be her favorite activity, to the dismay of of people who easily get friction burns. But in most cases, that's as far as she will go, being way more reluctant to progress sexually with men than she is with women for some reason.
Which brings me to another major issue with this game. There is no consistency in the way this character is written. This straight chick who was pretty quick to dive between the legs of her female neighbor, is very reluctant to go beyond teasing with most of the males she meets? She sticks to strictly cockteasing most attractive males she meets but she picks an old pervert to move to third base with? This behavior would make sense if we had been told she has some type of bi polar disorder, but we haven't.
The game doesn't avoid the trope of creepy, unattractive male characters. The only realistic temptation to a woman looking like that, with a bf who looks like he does, would be an equally handsome man, but we have seen minimal progression on that part. She has interactions with the male neighbor, an ex and a "bad boy" type dude but again, stuck in barely first base. With the exception of the bad boy but that scene was a bit "too one sided" for my tastes. Having the old pervert, the fat boss and the awkward nerd in the mix, seems on par with most games of this type but lacks the humiliation/corruption aspect that usually goes with these tropes.
The game plot is supposed to be slow burn, giving the protag time to develop into a saucier version of themselves over time. Thing is, there is a difference between slow burn and no burn. And most of this game's sub-plots are stuck in the no burn phase, with minimal to no progression.
The game gets its second star because it looks prettier than most. Well made renders and a good amount of post processing make it very pleasing to the eye, even in the compressed versions.
In the end, it's up to each user how they want their game written and paced. If your idea of slow burn is a character arc that would realistically need close to a decade to be finalized (at current pace), then go for it . If not, then definitely look for something else
