It's a shame but I could see it coming back in 2020. I'm surprised that it lasted as long as it did though. Hopefully the rights can be bought by a studio that actually gives a damn about the IP. Given that with my RWBY work effectively needing me to set up things that were shoehorned in, I'm starting to really see why the later volumes were looked at poorly from a writing perspective.
From what i read they opperated at loss for last few years.
We can only hope. With talented people and high budget RWBY has a lot of potential.

Place patches (.rpa file) in "/game" folder.
Doesn't always work for phone users, even with the extra instructions some times the system just won't let you
Place the patches in the proper folder like the instructions say, then use the call function of the phone in-game, which the instructions fail to mention.
