about the 25 16:9 issue.....no idea really i even post screen for this effect....
dunno if worked on my old pc let me see if my new potato works or not...

yeah is still working....
so is a driver problem...
i remenber than every non 16:9 resolution is with black bars..
if you don't have check a particular box in the driver setup...
don't remenber where is or what is called....
but i remenber the issue with all the 4:3 ratio resolutions....

Oh my Lord, I've found the issue recently:

It was because I was using multiple screens, that for some reasons caused the issue. After I defined one single screen while disconnecting the others, it worked!

Sharing this in case others have also trouble with it.
