VN Ren'Py Just want to see if there is an interest.

Hey all.
I just want to see if there is an interest for a game we started to make. The current state of it is Alpha. There are some images missing and a few errors in dialogue. The ending to the chapter is missing because our artist left right before the finish.
We started making it last year and my plan was to release the initial "prologue" chapter around Christmas but our artist left and we could not find a replacement. After the new year I got really sick and it was a couple of months before I recovered.
I want to complete the game, but financially I am now in the pit. So I am posting to see if there is an interest in it. If there is I will try my best to get some money so we can hire an artist.

A bit about the game:
It's going be fairly short (maybe 5 chapters (I haven't finished all of the script)). It's about a young woman who makes a mistake and drives the guy she loves away. She wants to get him back or at least try to get him to forgive her. However you play from the perspective of the guy. He will be driving the story, mostly.
It's not a porn game as such but there will be some of that (it is the college after all).

MC, being a single guy, will have LI option. There are only going to be 2 or 3 options for LI, this is a fairly short game. There will also be a twist with FC, but I am not going to give that away except that you will be making that decision on her behalf and it will have an effect on which ending you are going to get. However FC's main concentration is to get MC back. Hopefully as a boyfriend, but being friends again will do for her. There will be a few endings.
There will not be NTR, other sex tags I have not really decided on.

Also. I am writing the script as the story goes. I have the gist of the story laid out and main characters set, however the details are a mystery to me as I am writing. As an example of this: Alex saying that Carol is hot when she talks to FC, indicating that she is possible a bi or a lesbian, was a complete surprise to myself. I had already decided on her character but her sexuality just came out while I was writing that scene.

Vanilla Romance is not really my thing.. Having said that I always encourage Developers to put their vision out there.. I am sure there are many people who will enjoy the Game

The reason being that I have no money left. Everything is coming out of my pocket and it's as deep as a piss puddle. I will have to save to hire an artist. If there is an interest in the game I will push myself a bit harder and sacrifice on more things for a few months to save as much as I can.
The rest of the team (coder and a couple of proofreaders) are my friends. They agreed to do this just for fun but I am going to give them a share if the game makes any money. I thought of doing art myself and even attempted it, but I am to art what Mariah Carey is to banking. Pretty sure a blind gorilla can do better.

First. I am not here to ask for advice or help. I am just wondering if the story would interest people.

Secondly being a fanboy is being a tard.

Thirdly Killer7 and I talked about my review for his "New memories" game. and I told him why I gave the review that I did. however he asked me to try the game again and at least playthrough the content that is already there. And that is what I am going to do. And I will change my review accordingly.

Fourth. If a developer does not like that someone gives a bad review to their game that's alright and I can appreciate that since I used to make things and it was disheartening when someone really disliked what I made. But what I did is the same thing that Killer7 did, he asked me why I gave bad review and to give it another go instead of what you, I suspect, would do. Which is to send your fanboys on anyone who dislikes your work instead of trying to figure why someone does not like my work or just accepting that not everyone has the same taste.

You weren't cordial and you certainly did not piss me off.
And I did think the game was trash. Initially. In my case I was wrong and it was a rush decision.

Games can be judged, just like movies, music and pretty much anything else for that matter. Like Fallout 4, for example, or that teen vampire movie. Both are piles of trash and it's obvious from the start. If something does not draw you in with it's story from the start then there is no reason to go on. Specially if the story feels like garbage.

I get it you'd like to pretend that you are right by hiding behind some moral nonsense (don't see anywhere in my response that has anything to do with morality). While hiding your post where you are threatening that if I post negative reviews developers are going bunch up against me.
The fact that you had search out this thread that has nothing to do with the game I reviewed to post your rant about that review should probably indicate to you how wrong you are.

I'd be very interested in seeing you continue the game, there aren't enough romance story driven games out there. Most of the games labeled "romance" on F95 don't resemble the idea at all. In addition that is an interesting and different way of presenting the story. Most games are just porn with a poorly written plot stitching together sex scenes. Good luck!

I wanted a more two people centric game for a while. The side characters are important but only as to drive the story of this two people and to let the FC and MC learn whether their life long friendship can recover from what she did and maybe become a lot more than that. There is no true ending in this game. It is what you will decide is best for them. I am hoping to write them in the way so a player can understand what the two of them are as people and would they actually be happy together or not.
And porn, to be honest, is not really a big thing for me so I only want to add it where it serves the story.
I did have an idea for an extended version of this game, where a lot more would be flashed out. In my head all of the main characters have pretty deep back stories that could explain some of their actions and there were going to be a few more characters to back all that up. But with the finances going to the toilet I decided to cut to the main goal mostly since, from I understand, an artist is going to cost a lot of money and there should be some cuts made.
