Ever use a character creator in games and realize the male side of things sucks compared to the female? That's why. Whether it's Daz, HS, or KK, males are mostly an afterthought.

I can confirm.
I'm developing a character creator for my game to speed up NPC creation and the last thing I want to do is spend hours seeing a guy's face. So I'm designing everything for women and spending as little time as possible on men.

Because those games were made for straight guys. Games made for girls and gay/bi guys don't have ugly male NPC's.
