Whatever reason it could be why they don't just search the solution themselves, The fact it's happened too much meant that it's just better to just fixed it on the download page directly especially when all we really need is just simple sentence to just say what would be the problem and solution was. I mean technically this was already done with the post Red AI had made as seen in just the posts above this.
It's really just better than people in this thread just being irritated by it and being sarcastic a-holes about it even if it's understandable why people act like that because of the amount of times the question is asked each time.
This is all preventable from both side really. It's annoying looking at it from both sides when the solution seems obvious.
Doesn't need a sequel, he can add so much to this game if he wanted to, classroom job, infirmary job, training job, cafeteria job, cleaning job, list goes on, and he can add tons of new dungeon layers with new enemies, game is option wise very easy to expand.
Problem is the dev is tired with developing further, he just wants to make it perfect and start something new, understandable. However, if I sat on this goldmine, I'd expand the hell out of it. Better to expand on a golden egg than risk something new which could be a dud.
Hopefully once he claims it's finished we will have some awesome modders going Skyrim on it.

Why was that one abandoned btw? It looked as if dev abandoned it just because nobody was interested, hence why no announcements or anything. Maybe he didn't even abandon it - just stopped working on it and write updates, thinking no one looks anyway, fapping his sadness away to shower arts...

On one hand I find it weird how no one continued making this mod when code is public, on the other hand game keeps receiving updates that breaks mods all the time so I kinda see the reason why that might be.

Seriously, step 1 when you have an issue with just about anything is to see if someone already asked about the issue and had it resolved. That way you don't post the same question over and over, and get you issue solved faster since you don't need to wait for a reply. This has been done with this exact issue literally hundreds of times in this thread already. The search function can help, and allows you to sort by the most recent results too.
Yes the first post should be updated, but it hasn't been and multiple people requesting the first post be updated haven't cause the moderators change it.

You could put how to solve the issue with glowing neon signs, big red glowing arrows pointing to it, and these people still wouldn't check the 1st page and see it. So all the suggestions of "put it on the front page", instead of crapping on them every time, don't know what I know about that exact thing being done, and it doesn't help at all. I've literally seen it in motion.

idk if u already solved it mate but just close steam if u are linux u gotta some other file managment but for windows just close steam i also have no idea why it bugs whit steam open prob cuz its also a steam game idk hope it helps

Or I can attempt to teach him the bare basics of how to solve his own issues. Seriously if it was a random issue buried hundreds of pages back it'd be one thing, but it's literally a constant stream of people (usually low post count accounts) asking the same thing.
Well usually it's because they just made the account or just don't use the site at all except for downloading.
Honestly and I know it's weird considering where we are and even just the context of this but that's why I have some level of empathy to the people asking.
Most probably don't even read the thread or have any idea what is going on here and just wanted to ask the question because despite what said here, F95 does for my own experience does it's best to make it a simple as possible to just download what game you want and if there's additional things needed to do would actually mention it.
And because of that logic and since the solution isn't told and mentioned at all in the first page, It make sense that it to think it could have been a much more unique issue and would at least ask for questions first because of that logic.
Obviously I get that they should have at least tried to search the problem on the Search Bar, I can't deny that fact but I don't think asking a question was a bad thing to do or at least warrant the sheer vitriol that some people act here when they do ask those question.

People asking these question are most of the time probably new or don't use the site and F95 has given enough impression on how easy it is to just download and play games here so asking these question is more logical than people think.
Still think it's weird how harsh people can be with the response to the question from an outsider POV even knowing the context and I do still think that just adding a simple text explaining it in the download page would at least make the question not be as frequent.
