Im super away from this thread since time ago then I don't know most of the topics and what is going on, for me Karryn's Prison is if not the best H-Game one of the top 5 of all time and have mad respect for the devs.

Then im shocked about that much hate after this dev pointed out issues, and I wonder why people instead of cheer him up for the next project why people respond on a negative way, must be a good reason I guess.

Is a genuine question, no sarcasm, I want to know what this dev did to deserve the hate because I know nothing about this topics since the release of Karryn's Prison when I stopped to check this threat that often.

Can someone make 5cents of the "lore" please?

It's popular because it's a unique game among all the other games. In most other games, you have to intentionally lose to see the good stuff. But in this one, not only do you not have to lose, you actually play the good stuff. Give it a try, and you'll understand.

The whole vibe I'm getting for his "next" game (which isn't gonna develop) is you can 100% tell Rem is gonna hard pivot to make AI games.

Well I think hate goes to far. Just no trust anymore in the dev. And just for the record, Karryn's Prison is my fav H-Game as well. But for my part long story short: When he made the Gym DLC originally he released a Beta short before it's release. The feedback was so bad, that he decided to delay it with a promise to fix it of making it worthy for Karryn's Prison. Half a year later he then just released as it was because he couldn't come up with anything to improve it, even though people gave a lot of ideas of how to improve it. But he didn't want to use those ideas because it was either his idea or none. And that was the point when he lost my trust.

Yeah I know this game is loved for many folks and is why Iasked what was going on.
Then is a trust issue after promises that were never kept, thanks for the answer.

I also think the Gym minigame is weird and feels incomplete compared to others.

Friendly reminder that rem is a genius but deep down he is pretty much a idiot
