That was a joke, he was active on discord around 1.5 months ago (by mistake, a spam bot pinged people to a voice channel and he got baited into entering it to disable the ping).
Some pepz also claim he posted recently on the Wiki of the game (with unimplemented characters, lol)
So he's clearly alive, it's willful that he doesn't say anything to anyone.

I heard he was attacked by a rabid beaver, someone at the hospital recognized him and locked him up in the psyche ward refusing to let him out till he finished the update but they forgot to give him a computer

either be strong get levels from fighting or get power instantly from the penthouse in your mobile if u get the code or in setting lower her level make her go easy but dont be a pussy i know u strong if u can defeat noo u can defeat vidna too after some fights cause you want to unlock all vidna scenes too or if accept defeat right now go check my saves i have completed the game for you best of luck or last easiest option go to saveeditor do the same thing upgrade your stats a little bit when i say little i mean little enough to give her some kind of challenge cause every battle will give you exp from your fight

I think he'll return someday, but there's no way that the update will be anything other than a disappointment after how long it took.
