Alright so heres my thoughts on the update boy have the story have changed for the best and worst ill start.
trent: honestly i was shocked that he found our little secret place of the portal i was expecting him to fight us but i was shocked he was killed instantly now we know how nihts work they are similar to dilan who can be brought back to life. if he's been pearled twice i would assume he may come back as a apex night walker and he may be more aggressive and dangerous kind like alex the hunter. but that also makes me wanna question macky since in the files she's a apex night walker meaning how many times was she pearled meaning how many times did she die.
Verl: verl is an interesting deity but she does have a point up until now the player was a pawn a tool for succubus to use for there own selfish gains which kind a makes me not want to trust any succubus but its ironic cause she takes over his body and attempts to kill dominic but was banished so hopefully this will be the last time we see her again at least for now.
Beatrice and jeremy: i honestly think those two might be threatening to dilan soon i imagine they wont go quietly about this after the player kills trent so i would expect them to be more hostile towards the player in the future.
alex: i am pissed off that she died by julia and i hope she does come back but that chances of that happening are low and honestly julia is so far gone that we may have to kill her in the future.
cho and allan: honestly after what happened to alex dying and julia going on another rampage i really want to fight these two and allan has a lot of stuff to explain and i hope teary gives us the option to confront both of them for what they did.
and apparently the succubus from the succubus world can now go into the human world.
i hope Beverly comes back and dixie confronting the player about the magic shit.
as for the lore stuff i think its getting pretty dark here as for the blossom queen she's a interesting one

The first improvement is definitely overdue, and I think you're right about the effects to Dilan's being it'll have. Apart from the identification bit, Vaila also seems to expect it to vastly enlarge his range of abilities, like recognizing other entities' natures (same way the Nihtlings do, perhaps). Now that tricky opponents like Akuaki came knocking all on their own, it's high time Dilan started getting truly in touch with succubus powers, especially since Jalie and Rousou still need to be fought too.
I'm with you that components like Niht probably will end up being a complication anyways, no matter how much they try to make the improvement without it. Ironically though I kinda want to see it act up, it could be an interesting development to have before the Niht plotline gets wrapped up.
it’s a bit disheartening that, despite all of Dilan’s strength, anyone could so easily take over his mind

I think Vaila pretty much said from the start that Dilan wouldnt have to worry much in terms of physical damage but always should be carefull about mental and psychological attacks. She even said that she could rewire him back to normal but would prefer to not have to resort to that in the first place.
I know, I know — maybe I'm being too harsh, but still. Vaila sent Dilan into battle without even teaching him the basics of mental defense. I mean, come on — something as simple as Dominic’s Banish was enough to drive Verl out of his head.

I took that scene the complete opposite way.
I assumed that it was to show us that Dominic's magic is actually VERY powerful and he is hiding his true power (along with hiding everything else lmao). It also tracks with his powerful lineage etc.
I'm not so sure about that, to be honest. He couldn't do anything to Noo during their first encounter. And according to the game files, he's only around 18 lvl, while John is around 70 — now that's someone who's actually hiding his true power

It could well be Banish is supposed to be strong enough to act as a magician's trump card, but Noo was simply a bad match for it (if her surprise to Domi knowing how to cast it is any indication) as opposed to Verl, a more incorporeal entity compared to flesh-and-blood succubi. That, or Domi's power wasn't solely responsible for freeing Dilan, given Svelva's apparent involvement in that encounter.I'm not so sure about that, to be honest.
