Teary tends to take ages between each update. The people that keep donating will always continue to do so. If anything I dont get why people keep being surprised when updates take time when this has been a thing for over 2 years at this point.
Also, correct me if I am wrong, but isn't tearycian developing this huge game all by their lonesome? Sounds a bit unfair to keep pressuring them for frequent game updates like that.
Dude is doing a good job, and that's all that matters.

Yep Teary is developing this game on their own. He has also said that he would be very open about it if this game would ever be abandoned. So what you can expect is a super long wait and when he releases something it tends to be pretty good. Atleast in terms of story in my opinion.

ive dabbled in development. im even friends with a dev for tkaf (to kill a fairy tail) and im well aware it takes time, the problem is that teary is super ambitious, especially with the current update. the update teary is working on is an entire revamp, which requires him scouring through all of his outdated poorly written slop that he made when he was still inexperienced in coding. if i were him i would have left the foundational stuff and just reworked the different succubi, or just scenes in general. regardless, teary does take a lot longer than i would generally expect, however it does make sense given that the game also has a rly good story. anyway, sorry for the rant
tldr: game development does take a while, especially when ur older code gets in the way. lets all just hope this upcoming update will have been worth the wait, thats all we can hope for.

To be fair im not experienced with coding at all nor am I a game dev. To me it would be smarter to focus on the writing and art itself and leave the coding to someone who can do that better and faster. But thats the thing. We dont know if teary just likes to work on all the aspects of the game. I can imagine that you dont want to outsource if you get genuine joy out of that work.
The problem isn't long development cycles, those are very common, the problem is the absurd silence
For all we know, Teary may have died 5 weeks ago and the patrons just throw money at a dead person or he may have the 0.1 update basically around the corner and every second of wait will have been worth it, but how are we supposed to know which one is true?
